He's still has fans but he's been slowly pushing his actual target audience away for a while. Their's a certain degree of tolerance and even agreement within gaming and nerd counter-culture for left wing stances due to social factors-. But this good will is being slowly worn away when you're being called a sexist by a blob because the girl thor is shit. You can only virtue signal for so long before people notice you're just attacking a subculture because it's easy. It also doesnt help that we are not talking about Chomsky here, bob has literally no insight in terms of politics, so left wingers arnt going get anything from his comments and centers/Right wingers are just going to leave.

EDIT-also ghostbusters 2 was alright.

No love for the cartoon he called "above average" at best? Sorry, this is the one line off him as a supposed GB fan that got me. Granted, it was not a flawless cartoon, especially later on. But considering that he unironically loves the Super Mario show, I think he is really not the one to talk about the overall quality of other cartoons.

btw, I argue he still spergs worse than anyone accuses AVGN off. Rolfe at least was rather calm, even if he called the movie a piece of shit by the looks of it. Bob on the other hand motorboats his way through the criticism and of course takes the time to once more bash on BvS, cause that joke has not goten old.

He also doesn't mention the comics, the tabletop RPG, or the 2009 GB video game, the latter has at least some fans calling it in effect Ghostbusters 3.

He also prattles on about not being dicks but only singles out the anti-female Ghostbusters crowd, while ignoring or at least downplaying how his side has dogpiled on people for not wanting to see a movie that has shitty trailers, and unless you have contractual obligations, you should not have to see a movie you don't want to see.

Moviebob is literally retarded. "The movie looks awful, but you only predicted it because you are sexist assholes. You just want it to hurt feminism."

It reminds me of how feminists flipped out at people that predicted the refugee crisis would lead to mass rapes in Europe after the Cologne attacks proved them right. SJWs can't stand for "bigots" to be proven right.

He's just setting himself up to be right regardless of how the movie turns out.

If the movie is, somehow, a massive success at the box office and critically, Bob will be thumping his chest at the evil haters and Gamergators about how horrible we all are.

If the movie is panned by critics but does okay at the box office, Bob will be calling the movie critics conspirators of Gamergate and symptoms of toxic masculinity.

If the movie is panned by critics and a massive flop at the box office, Bob will be blaming men everywhere for sabotaging the movie before it even had a chance to prove itself. He'll chalk it up to the travesty that is Gamergate and make a couple of videos with him in a bunch of costumes defeating the evil patriarchy.

The trailer for it is literally the most disliked thing in YouTube's history that isn't a music video. I'd say its assured considering most normal people don't go out of their way to see obviously bad movies
