Well to be fair, in their almost 1500 year history they have warred with either Germany or German populations pretty much non stop. Less then 80 years ago there were German tanks on Paris streets. You don't forget that no matter how close the 2 countries are now.

That popcorn superhero movie that you really like got better on a second viewing? Man, that superhero film that appeals to a broad audience must not have completely gotten through to Bob the first time around. Good thing he threw more money at a mass appeal superhero action movie that appeals to the broadest audience possible, in order to change his not so sterling opinion.

Just wait for the MCU to end and the entire comic industry (which he still doesn't support despite loving it so much) goes under shortly after. He'll be blaming everyone else besides Marvel and people like himself if we get to that point.
