How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

:offtopic: You're still called that as a Dunmer since you're still a foreigner. He'd probably try to describe the plot as having to do with white people/Trump or something because of the hostility to outsiders, vaguely Islamic elements, and not paying attention to know what a Dagoth Ur is.
I know, It would still be funny to see MovieBob bitch about something that has nothing to do with(but would still somehow make it about by some stupid logic) Trump and would more than likely interpret "N'wah" as being the elder scrolls equivalent of nigger. I bet he would be sperging about the dunmer and the Tribunal expansion (Both involve technology that is advanced by ES standards.) due to him being the technocratic fascist that he is.

Oh, he should play MGS5 just to react to the scene where Kaz Miller, a half-cracker, smacks a child soldier in the face with a cane.

Nah dude, you have to hit him with a genre he relates to. (One outside of eating, so McKids is out.)

Ninja Gaiden pushed the envelope for story-telling in video games by including cutscenes that were specifically tailormade to further the plot. It was pretty groundbreaking for the time.

That alone pushed the boundries more than the safety net of a Mario game ever could at the time.
PC Adventure games like Zork and Maniac Mansion have a greater stake towards introducing meaningful storytelling in games than Super Mario Bros. 3, but since he didn't have a PC growing up, they apparently don't count. SMB3's story is "Move right and stop Koopa/The Koopalings", and any other depth gives Bob the Prickly-wicklies.

The original Zork was more of a treasure hunt, but by Zork III they were probing some serious philosophical areas -- nowhere near as deep as later games would, of course, but there was something very special going on there. But this is one reason Bob's arrogance is so galling: if you claim to be some sort of expert on video games (especially retro games) ignorance of Zork or Ultima or Wizardry is almost as bad as ignorance of Pac-Man.

Also, as long as we're talking about movies that are some sort of touchstone for stories from the villain's POV, how do we forget White Heat? I'm still trying to figure out how in the world Bob managed a review of something like Kiss Me Deadly when he's so obsessed with garbage from his adolescence.

Hell, you could probably argue that The Invisible Man, despite being a different genre, was one of the first movies in this archtype. One of Bob's many problems is he thinks that everything started in his precious 80s.

So, either Marvel movies have sociopolitical significance attached to them, or they're just "children's entertainment". Which is it, Bob?

And also, Bob thinks he's an expert in pulp fiction now.

Of course, they could be both, but "superior genes" Bob over here probably couldn't tell you why. A film could be technically innovative like Toy Story and still be aimed towards children. It impresses both demographics. Adults can appreciate the technical and (for the time) impressive animation considering the limitations of 3D at the time, and the kiddies can laugh at Buzz Lightyear falling down the stairs. It's all about context, a concept Bob never seems to grasp.

Off topic but this is nice. I get to take the piss out of Bob and have small discussions about things that mildly interest me. I should visit here more often.

What did Bob think of Wind River? It's a legitimately good film, he'd probably like it considering all the messages about Native Americans being treated like shit.

Bob, quit lying. Your fat ass would be all over this.

Well, for starters, making a premise that would appeal to Bob Chipman.

If I was Bob, I'd be mad at myself every day too for being a fat, bitter, rage-choked manchild.

"Subscribers/followers aren't everything."

"Literally who are you?"

Pick one, you dumb fuck.

He gave it a positive enough review, iirc.

So just because he doesn't like one character, the whole series is shit to him?
TBF, Iron Fist is the shittiest Defender.

Bob's "I'm surprised most humans can remember to breathe!" comment just irks me. It's no worse than most of his rhetoric, I guess it's the pure hubris of it. Why is it always the people who have never actually done anything are the ones that undersell humanity?

Because the only thing they know is their own parasitic existence and project it on others

Bitterness. On some level, Bob knows he is stupid. In fact, Bob is one of the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever seen. Only DSP beats him in the idiot department. He has no idea how to fundamentally analyze anything. 'Rosetta Stone' means the foundation upon which all are based. The 'Rosetta Stone' of gaming is the MIT Oscillator that first made a game with rules, graphics and controls.

That this stupid fat fuck makes any money is mind boggling. His area of expertise is a an old game from the 1980s. That's it. That's the 'Rosetta Stone' of Bob. Everything he does is based on fucking Super Mario. How this man was ever admitted to college just blows my fucking mind.

Sometimes his stupid legit makes me angry, but then I think about what I'm doing with my life, what I'm learning. Even though I'm in forever debt, I'm not Bob. Living in a basement, pretending nothing has evolved past 1988 and has the mentality and intelligence of a special-ed Highschool Freshman.

That childish mentality even applies to his views towards movies. Remember that his frame of reference towards humanism in film isn't so much Linklater, Herzog or Ozu, but of all things, Guardians of the Galaxy. Any pretentious college freshman with a Film Studies major could easily destroy Bob's opinions towards movies, much like how anyone who took a game programming course could destroy his opinions towards vidya.
