How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I never had to read Caulfield's Magnum Horriblus. Apparently arrogant whining was not a part of my school curriculum. Now reading Romeo and Juliet for 3 out of 4 years in High School though...

All I do know is that Blob probably read this more than Atlas Shrugged or the Fountainhead.

It's actually a good book. The problem is people thinking the protagonist is a hero when he's obviously a huge dick.

I'm looking at Bob's "top 10" list and one thing catches my eye.

"Wonder Woman", a movie with a genuinely likeable (at least imo) strong female protagonist gets an honorable mention, while the movie that attempts to lionize its pervert freak progenitor and his deviant, control freak lifestyle gets Number 4 on the list.

Reaaaal progressive there, Bobbo.

Imagine being so sad that you'll snark at corporate responses, yet act like you deserve a medal regardless.

They should be so easy to dunk on, but Bob fails every time and just projects harder.

Congratulations, both options suck.

We're not saying you're an elite, we're saying you're a loser who supports the elite. Get your facts straight.

I could barely get through it because even if Holden was written like a whiny bitch on purpose, I still found it hard to get through it because Holden is such a whiny bitch.

Yeah, that’s the big issue. It’s only mildly amusing when you remember it’s a cynical asshole writing his interpretation of a standard teen in the 50’s. But the scene with the hooker is the point where I draw the line, it might be the most pretentious and whiny moment in any book, only enjoyable because the Pimp hits him in the dick

So what you're saying is Blob read and took at least a cue or two from a lolcow's take on a 50's lolcalf on an epic love quest then. It sounds like a dumpster fire of a book.

Still don’t know if he ever read the book(or any book for that matter) I reached out to him on twitter claiming it was my favorite book, but he never replied. Probably thought the Keroro icon was a proxy for Pepe or whatever

Holden would have been a lolcow irl though. Hates movies because they’re “fake”, gets all edgy about religion to a heavily religion classmate who was doing him a favor, constantly expelled from schools, thinks his brother is the best author ever, takes $80 in 1950’s money from his kid sister, gets drunk on jack and coke and drunkenly calls his pseudo girlfriend, whines to hooker he refuses to pay only to cry like a baby when the Pimp punches him(I always hated that scene because the pimp was actually a really cool dude and only takes exactly what was owed instead of taking all the money) hangs out at a museum and tries to get all intellectual to small children who just wanted directions, and is emotionally damaged from his younger brother’s Death.

You can probably find a few parallels between him and bob if you really looked into it, but that would require you to actually read the book, something I don’t really recommend. I got tortured in high school and had to read it all four years

Again, I'm sure The Rock's a manchild and not you.

(Man, it really is feast or famine with Bob. Insert fat joke here.)

Ironic since The Rock has shown support toward you Bob. Or at least his social media intern. I'm certain that horseshit would land him on blocksville from the rock. For someone who has a large go. You don't think what you say most of the time, bob.

I just want to point out how hilarious it is that Mr. Superior Future Elitist is trying to deal with an uninsulated basement apartment in 9 degree weather.
I find that kinda sad. The guy's a huge arrogant twat but I've had to spend a Christmas once with a broken heater and it was absolute hell, and that was at 32 degrees. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

All I'm saying is if the Superior Future consists of uninsulated basement apartments, foam mattresses, and type 2 diabetes, I'll stick with my inferior past, thankyouverymuch.

So does anyone know WHY he has a Marvel hard-on? As in, at what point between Iron Man and The Avengers he went 'HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE SALVATION OF HUMANITY'.

Because he is a pleb that thinks himself a critic of the art of the highest magnitude. Though honestly I think most artsy films are shit that are almost all style over substance, I certainly don't think the Marvel movies are anything special outside perhaps the Guardians movies simply due to the brilliant direction of James Gunn. I still find it funny though that Bob loves Marvel and shits all over the X Men movies that have done some of the most original and even special and even daring things with movies like Logan and the excellent Deadpool

He's also an unrepentant brand whore, which is unsurprising because he was a brand whore for Nintendo when he was 10, which is the age at which he seems developmentally stuck.

I honestly don't get where Bob's sense of importance comes from.. His occupation doesn't allow him to even afford living on his own, he isn't a highly cited and influential critic like Roger Ebert... He isn't functioning in the present day, and yet he believes he is the forefather of a superior future that totally won't put his head under the tank treads.

I believe I read somewhere that critics are the most disposable part of any news outlet, and this are usually the 1st to go in any culling.

So let's see, low-paying, disposable, culturally insignificant.. Film criticism is totally a career path that won't be undermined by future societal shifts, friendo.

Considering how he likes to fake being super knowledgeable of the comics too, I assume he's just part of the package with the "OMG I am like so nerdy, I have a Tom Hiddleston poster and everything" crowd that became super big when the Avengers came out in theaters and are partially responsible for the weird path they went down for five years with how loud they are. I think you'd know the type. It's just manifests differently because he's male.

He had a whole year to prepare for it.

He chooses to live the shitty life he lives.
