EDIT: I said this in another thread, but I think that one reason so many people are burying their heads in the sand about this is not because of partisanship (although there are plenty of those people), but because they're too afraid to admit that a sizable portion of our government has become unaccountable to the American people and has the power to subvert the democratic process as we know it. Bob like I said is a massive partisan, but I also think that he genuinely wants a shadow-government consisting of unelected technocrats to stage a coup on the U.S. government, because as we've extensively documented in this thread, he believes that a plurality of the American people are irredeemable and wants to rob them of any political capital that they may have by any means necessary. May I draw your eyes back to this tweet in particular:
