He'd most likely completely ignore this call, give a limpdicked one liner, and hang up since you are very likely to not get anything out of him if you start confronting him on a place he can control by shutting it down. It'd have to be very subtle and the 'father' if you will has to at least fake having the near same values he does..

Or a place he has no control over. Think about it? The sole reason why Bob keeps running his mouth is because he controls the playfield he does it.

The "Father call" can work, if he's conforted in person. And not behind a monitor, or a phone. That's the only way he will be forced to listen to what they have to say.

I'm not exactly wishing anything awful to happen. But I do wish circumstances push his ego to become careless for once.

I agree that it would have to be a face to face meeting because Bob does not really interact with people outside of social media. Personally, I would prefer someone kidnap Bob and throw him in a room (that is locked from the outside to prevent escape) with someone who will call him out on his behaviour, will not respond to his insults, and consistently outmaneuver him intellectually. We all know that Bob is an insufferably stupid man-child who believes that they way to win arguments is through one-liners ala Tony Stark or to screech loudly on Twitter.

Bob has never been cornered in his life and I actually think it would be fascinating to witness how he would react in such a scenario. Would he physically lash out after having his entire worldview ripped to shreds for several hours? Not that he poses much of a physical threat to anyone. He lacks the strength and coordination to harm a target with a rudimentary knowledge of self-defence. I ultimately do not believe that Bob is capable of admitting any faults in his beliefs because he has hardened his mind by closing himself off to everyone else but fellow ideological travellers and the pathetic sycophants that fellate his monstrously huge ego.

A Father Call won’t work for Bob for the same reason it won’t work for most modern cows: there is absolutely no way to coerce them into an environment where they feel unsafe.

People like Bob become whiny little shrinking violets when real life comes a knocking and someone tries to call them out irl. They either laugh it off or run away.

Yeah that's the one, I know because I saw other people's comments on Mark Kern's tweet making fun of Bob taking a 22-tweet thread to reply to him.

IMO, this is a classic Bob moment, the sheer impotent rage, butthurt and cuck tears at what's a very innocuous and well-meaning statement are very evident in every single word of that tweetstorm. And you know that Bob will revisit this at some point, once he ensures that Mark can't reply to him on an equal standing, my best guess is that he will subtweet him later this month.

I have seen Bob make this point before and it makes no sense. I remember the Jack Thompson days and how no one who was into video games liked him but he is not responsible for the "gamer" identity. People called themselves gamers because of a shared love of a new form of entertainment that was not quite mainstream. Not everyone who played games heard of Jack Thompson. Also Bob claims that games are safe but what about any future moral panics about video games? Like say maybe more liberal folks instead of conservative folks claiming unscientific claims about harmful effects video games have on society or maybe a feminist who frequently claims video game reinforce sexism and builds an unwelcoming environment for game developers to make the games they want?
