How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Here's what I don't get
  • US imposing tariffs on steel imports only hurts the US.
  • China imposing tariffs on agriculture imports from the US only hurts the US
Fucking which one is it?

The answer is that Bob is frighteningly a supporter of the Authoritarian Corporate China as that is the closest thing to the superior future in his mind. Why he seems to wank on China so much given how much terrible things they do, I will never truly understand from a moral standpoint.

Guess who this character reminded me of.

This is sadly very typical of city folk that never left their tiny corner of the world chat like that know what is going on. Bob takes this one step farther and has the delusion that California and the Coastal States can go at it alone even though I bet without the inner states they would starve or at least not support the sheer volumes of people they currently have.
Bob also seems to have conveniently forgotten that California has been having problems with wildfires and droughts leading to shortages in certain crops. Salt water irrigation is possible, but I doubt it could ever be done to the scale to feed all of these "Liberal Coastal Elites". Never mind the fact that Bob would be more obsessed with pouring concrete over everything and probably wouldn't dare allot any land for farming, not on Earth at least.

Look, I understand the appeal of cities. I'd rather live in a place where I can find what I need within walking distance instead of constantly having to drive to the next town. I think rural towns like mine could stand a little development, physically (or at least socially) if they want to entice the younger people like me to stay. But even I know that we need places to grow food. I know a couple people I went to school with who chose not to go to college in order to help their families run their farms. I also know some friends who have gotten jobs---I'm sorry "jerbs", as farmhands in the past.

Tell me, does Bob even see any farms where he lives? As far as I know, he barely leaves the basement as it is, so why does he need to sneer at farmers day in and day out? I would've figured the social justice crowd only sneered at them for their political beliefs, not for their line of work.

I'm pretty sure Bob's bizarre moon wheat plans were so that he didn't have to share the Earth with farmers. He's never explicitly said that, but I think that's where the idea came from.

Bob has a very "with us or against us" view of things. Since farmers would call him an exceptional individual and tell him to shut up, he doesn't want anything to do with them.

So I have some questions for Bob that’ll make him defend criticisms of the MCU.
  • Why is there a excuse in the lack of style from directors and that is taken by Kevin Feige, who controls the production of the film?
  • What are the Avengers really fighting for personally?
  • Why does the crappy action scenes and CGI get an excuse?
  • What is the point of having too much humor in serious tone storylines?
  • Is there more to the villains other than being bad guys of the week?
  • Is it necessary to continue watching the MCU being relevant after Avengers 3 and 4?
I wonder if he’ll answer them with a straight face or not. How would he respond to these questions?

He'll come up with some out of there excuse to all of them. Call you friendo to be passive aggressive. Try to say the ones from the comics don't matter in the films. And they'll continue because they are the next best thing, damn it.

If he says that, I would ask him if he actually watch the films enough to remember. He did watch The Avengers and Black Panther five times.

:offtopic:, but this post reminds me of a recent experience I had an alternate history forum when I expressed skepticism over Captain Marvel. Long story short, I voiced my concern that Marvel Studios would take the route of Rey from the Star Wars sequel trilogy by making Carol Danvers hyper-competent without much in the way of real personality. Their response was ad hominems and name calling because I was "sexist" for not bending the knee to Kevin Fiege. The rather patronizing attitudes I got reminded me of Bob. Hell, I think one of them embedded Bob's spergey BvS video on the DCEU thread. He has a lot of fans on that board.

Is there some weird thing that prevents Bob from spelling "Hell" correctly?

The fact that he's tweeting from his phone.

No really, that's a typical problem with "smart" keyboards on phones. I've run into it a number of times.

Now, imagine for a moment, that fat sack of shit, writing tens to hundreds of tweets in a single sitting, going on huge diatribes for hours on end, and he's doing it from his phone. Put that imagery in your head.
