He's actually kind of correct (broken clocks and all that) in that Disney/Marvel generally avoids things that would be controversial enough to cross lines in big money international markets like China or the Middle East. The pop culture spergs that endlessly fellate Marvel never want to admit that these movies are made for one reason: speak to the absolute lowest common denominator and make the most money and sell the most merch they possibly can.

Which is complicated if you have to edit characters and story arcs out of films in every country it screens in.

It's not without precedent. The Ghostbusters remake was apparently not screened in China because, as Mike Stoklasa eloquently put it "The Chinese think it's witchcraft."

Well one of them is a bit autistic i think (but unlike Bob, he's touched a woman) and the others are just young and stupid.

In addition, they have to conform to the ideology of the Chinese Communist party: generally, ghosts, the supernatural, and religion are verboten, as well as many historical facts that are unflattering to the Communist party. However, they're not autistic about it: Pixar got caught flat-footed when Coco was given a slot, and proceeded to do good business there. (A movie about filial piety does well in China. Bob is mentally incapable of learning any lessons from his life. It's impossible for him to ever do anything wrong in his mind, everyone else is to blame for the terrible things that happen in his life and he's just the poor victim of "stupid people's bad behavior". Just think about all the things he should of changed about his life when they began effecting him:

• He should of learned to stop repeatedly sperging about the things he hates when he got fired from the Escapist. He still hasn't.
• He should of re-evaluated his political views and opinions on other people when his friends started saying they were far too extremist. He still hasn't.
• He should of gotten an actual job or started developing better life/job skills when the money started getting tight. He still hasn't.
• He should of gotten an actual apartment to live in that wasn't his parents basement after it flooded and mold started to deteriorate his health. He still hasn't.
• He should of started eating healthy, exercising regularly and attempting to get himself in shape once he was diagnosed as a diabetic. He still hasn't.

If Bob hasn't learned a single life lesson from any of these things, when will he?

I wouldn't call preventing large numbers of children from being born into unsuitable families and growing up as delinquents disturbing at all. It's been proposed as a possible part of why the US murder rate dropped massively in the 1990s, since it was 20 years after Roe V Wade. The US murder rate dropped from 9.8 per 100,000 in 1991 to 5.7 per 100,000 in 1999, and has stayed at roughly that level since (5.3 per 100,000 in 2016).

But I probably have a very different perspective from Bob.

When Bob actually starts getting concequences of being a fat loser.
Money's getting tight? Live off mommy and daddy's money.
Nowhere to live? Mommy and daddy have a cave basement apartment.
No job? All the more free time for me!
Bad health and living conditions? Isn't hurting me now too bad, who cares when it'll effect me more.

Bob only cares about the "now" and not the "then". An easy present and a difficult future is more appealing to him then a difficult present and an easy future because he doesn't have to work for it.
