One of MovieBob's biggest flaws is his inability to let shit go to the point that it starts to infect his work. I happened with the Retake Mass Effect movement when he wouldn't shut the fuck up about it and kept inserting it into seemingly unrelated videos, as well as with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Batman v. Superman.

True story. Back in the day I was playing Resident Evil 4 on an old CRT trlevisiont My cat was laying on top of the tv. At one point he looks down and starts slapping at the zombies on tv. When id killed them all, he started smacking Leon.

Point is, even my cat had the sense to know the character on screen wasn't him. My cat as a stronger sense of self identity than these.... individuals.

In the video, Bob describes Han Solo as a no-nonsense foil to Luke, Ben, and the rest of the fantasy elements in Star Wars. At the every end, Bob also states Rose Tico fills the same role in The Last Jedi. What tilts my head about Bob's claim is that I can cite one important scene that contradicts it, the part where she stops Poe from sacrificing himself because "That's how we're gonna win, not fighting what we hate, but saving what we love." I can't imagine that makes Rose the supposed no-nonsense foil.

He also has a"us vs them" mindset which is disturbingly simular to racism in how aggresively he hates people for not being his kind of people. He's also probably a eugenicist and is really comfortable looking the other way with violent authoritarian regimes such as China.

He's only really left wing by the fox news definition of the word-the sort of shit you throw at your enemies if you're stupid....except bob actually believes it. More honestly his beliefs are an incoherant mess with some lip service to egalitarianism and neo-liberalism.

I still think he's some weird AnCap who wants whoever's the richest man to be a god and this kinda overlaps with authoritarian lefties who see corporations as surrogate governments to get around government limitations.
