It's alright, I definitely understand where that's coming from and there are enough people who genuinely do use that rhetoric as a dog whistle, just far from the extent that Bob and his ilk insist. I don't actually think it's quite as simple as 'stay and fix your own shithole' but taking in masses of illegal immigrants really does help no one in the long run but well, the elites Bob imagines he's a part of.
Was talking with a friend and he pointed out something I hadn't considered.
He's working at a foreign university to help it get educational programs up and running. One of the things they want to aim at is a nursing program.
The problem is that the nurses that graduate would be fully certified for the US, EU, and other nations.
And they would have a pretty good grasp of English by the end of it.
And a lot of those nations (because of socialized medicine) are experiencing crippling personnel shortages.
So the people he's working with just know that as soon as this nursing program is online, every graduate is going to rush out of the country to America or England or... And they'll all be fast tracked to immigrate.
Thus he's trying to figure out some requirement or solution to keeping the nurses they train inside their own country because - you know - the people THERE need healthcare too!
What baffles me most is that Bob and his ilk will all the time talk about how the white nations have raided and robbed the minority nations of their wealth (I know I've seen a political cartoon summing up this point but can't find it now). Meanwhile, the one ACTUAL way the first world really is taking resources from the third - their
people - Bob et al will vehemently argue that it is
more moral we
keep robbing them.
They love to talk about natural selection - well what do you think would happen to a population if you kept taking their best and most moral members out of the population leaving the stupidest, most degenerate members behind? Or to put it in terms Bob can understand: What if Black Panther and his sister were raised in America and Killmonger was the one left in Wakanda?
