"Being cosmopolitan, like being liberal, is a good thing: it suggests a person familiar with both books and compassion, the arts and also the sciences, democracy and civil rights, good food and good conversation" -- Joe Hill (who?)

Let's see how Bobby checks out:
Books? You mean Nintendo Power?
Compassion? Just ❌
The Arts? "MCU is the most culturally significant event yada yada"
Science? Just ❌
Democracy? As long as Trump supporters can't vote.
Civil Rights? This just in: "40% of the country is too stupid to exist."
Good Food? He thinks McNugget sauce is as good as crack.
Good Conversation? A conversation, any conversation, involving Bobby is as mythical as his own feet.

IMO the funniest aspect of Bob is his complete and total lack of self-awareness. The guy who lives in a flooded basement, sustains himself on a diet of beer and fast food, and makes his living producing Youtube videos about comic book movies unironically believes he's some urbane sophisticate and intellectual powerhouse.

Totally not a eugenicist

Where did Bob pull those statistics from, the cavernous orifice known as his ass.

Lazy, coddled lefties like Bob don't believe social mobility is even possible. That's why they're so in favor of free shit. They cannot envision any other way for people to improve their lives. It's also why they are so quick to assume "privilege" of anyone who has anything worth having, or to reject the idea that people can become poor through any fault of their own.

Not to go too far off topic here, but you'll find that these types of people often have the same mindset toward, say, body weight. It's why "fat acceptance" actually fits quite neatly into their worldview. SJWs are sad, lazy people who don't believe in their own agency or the agency of others.
Not to sound like some fat chick with the worst dyed haircut in existence going to Harvard for a gender studies major with a minor feminist interpretative dancing. The “Fat acceptance” can be good since the message is that people should stop judging people based on how fat they look
SPOILER="Tangent about personal thing"]like I went to apply for a stocking job at some stores and was barely given consideration because of how fat I am, though I will give way that I didn’t have a resume for a few these interviews but did online ones for the others[/SPOILER]
especially in like the work environment or exercise environment (why would you want to make fun of them for trying to change how they look?) but then it derailed into “we deserve to be fat and happy and have type 2 diabetes even if we have to lose limbs over it!” and just devolved into the same thing: progressiveness into regressiveness.

I’m on board for basic human decency, but I think FA/HAES has a lot of negative “lobster bucket” messaging that ultimately makes it a very toxic community, both for fat people and everyone else.

Quick question: what’s lobster bucket?

Lol so you came unprepared and think it's because you're fat
I said a few I didn’t have a resume for, which is why I thought “actually maybe it’s not because I’m fat” but I can tell a few did turn me away for my weight because one of the stores has an old lady as a stocker and she just fell and got hurt.

You mean "crab bucket."

Lobster bucket is the plural for Jordan B Peterson fans.

People that go "Abolish the police, they are lapdogs of oppression" just don't understand something incredibly basic: rules and laws are enforced under the threat of punishment. Or do they think that people will always obey the law out of the good in their hearts? And even more, do they think criminals will not commit crime again if they are not punished for it? Because if you're so deluded in your mentality of "Everybody is good" you should do some soul searching. And in the case of Bob, he doesn't have to search too much.

No joke but as demonstrated by one of my personal fascination lolcows, there really is this thought that criminals are just victims who only broke the law as a result of happenstance. (Unless white.) They really believe that if we could just get society perfect, then we wouldn't have criminals any more.

You can read any number of Theodore Dalrymple essays to see the results of this thought. I.e. http://www.city-journal.org/html/8_2_oh_to_be.html

I think the guy Bob is responding to is Joe Hill King, son of Stephen King. I've read and enjoyed two of his novels (Horns and NO4RA2) and two of his graphic novels (Locke and Key and the Cape). Like his dad he is a lefty. Don't follow him closely enough to know how far the rabbit hole he is.

Stephen King's son, who is totally a published author only because of his own vast talent and skill, and not at all because daddy opened doors for him.
Okay that is probably true, but don't think it would be fair to call him a hack. He have gotten where is due to nepotism, but he is able to stay where he is without any help.

Who would have thought that a more lenient society is breeding more criminals than upstanding citizens. The read was good but very horrifying to know the lengths some people go to excuse crimes just because "they are one of us". Really fucked up to excuse two murderes because "they might be lesbians" or a serial child molester because "he is gay". I already know NZ people are cucked beyond redemption (after all, they turned in their guns to the government after Christchurch), but this kind of shit would make any reasonable person to arm themselves and keep their guns close.

After all, an armed society is a polite society and it's better to have dead criminals than victims and screeching social activists excusing the worst of society from their punishment.

I'll go along with that. I'd never point at a fat person and mock them for being a great big fatty fat, but I have no tolerance for "I'm obese and healthy."
