The Consoomer rises again, this time on Jack Posobiec's twitter feed. Fucking LOL.

I know defending Bob is generally frowned upon here, but I think he might be reading too much into the 2000s fad of women claiming to be bi-curious. I liken it to the current trans-trender fad. And just like trans-trenders, how much it existed outside of the internet and popular films is debatable. I only ever saw it once in real life (it seemed to be for the approval of the guys), which is far from the "all women are naturally bi" claim Bob made.

That, and when you marinade in the far left for long enough, you run into "political lesbians" who insist that all women are naturally lesbians who are only brainwashed into heterosexuality by The Patriarchy (TM.) That's bunkum, but Bob has no problem believing bunkum he's motivated to believe.

You sure? I remember the review being on NRO, not Breitbart. I remember both of them having plenty of ink to spill on TDKR, but not TDK.
It was before he joined breitbart and was posted on libertas when I read it.

About the only thing I can find on NR with the two of them is the article "the best conservative movies."

Goldberg puts groundhog day at #6, (and #14 A Simple Plan) Andrew Klavan is the one to put Dark Knight at #12.

And that snippet sounds just like what you were remembering.

How did you get into Moviebob/find this thread?

I always assumed that most of the people here were people familiar with Bob when he had some degree of popularity, so I'm interested in how you got your start.

Just by scanning the Lolcows forum. I was intrigued by the huge number of posts on this thread, so I read the initial ones, and the last few weeks' worth. Am not really a fan of current pop-culture offerings, so MovieSlob's pseudo-career of commenting on the same was off my radar.

Something I don't get about Bob. He claims if it wasn't for the wasteland ghouls, we'd have brain uploading and interstellar starships. But the US is only a small percentage of the world. Surely the rest of the planet, lacking these wasteland ghouls, would have been able to develop the technology while leaving the US behind. Or is he an American (or Blue State American) supremacist, who thinks that they alone could figure out this technology he dreams about?
in his mind, the USA would have conquered and depopulated all of these other countries many years ago had it not been for the subhuman mayonnaise ghouls holding it back
the comparison between his Superior Future and Star Trek has been brought up many times in this thread, and here's some food for thought: how do you think the Federation managed to make Earth and the people who serve on board its spaceships monoculturally American and universally accepting of absolute authority?
the most obvious answer is that they did so by subjugating/genociding all of the other cultures and populations, and brainwashing their citizens into total conformity, which is a frankly horrific prospect, and is probably what your man Cinema Robert secretly wants

So a Podcast did an episode on Bob's book, which they just unlocked publicly. Of course Bob is mad.
Also he is very upset that he might have to meet them in person and confront people that don't like him. The horror.

If you don't want to come across as a drooling autist, maybe don't drool all that autism into a laughably awful self-published memoir.

If only Bob had cared enough about his grandmother's death to not have left her funeral to go buy a fucking air conditioner.

If Bob... well, wasn't a lolcow, he would take advantage of this by releasing an audio book version of his book as read by him.

If he had GROWN any since publishing it, he would do a snark commentary on his own book while reading. i.e. "'That's not as pathetic as it sounds.' Wait, that is as pathetic as it sounds. What was I smoking when I wrote this?"

RedLetterMedia outright makes fun of their own film making effort (though they haven't done a BotW featuring their own movies yet), and THAT's why those guys are beloved. All this time in new media and Bob hasn't figured out yet how to do it...

I can't believe people are publicly discussing personal information that I publicly disclosed to the whole world voluntarily! Those monsters!

Also notice how calling people less than human is his default reaction to everything.

More like Blob is too smoothbrained, ignorant of the setting, and stupid and doesn't understand how the Federation formed; fun fact it was after a pair of massive fuck-off wars that nearly annihilated humanity. First against "superior" augmented humans that forcibly created a powerbloc and killed tens of millions in their quest to forcibly control humanity during the 1990s. Then you had an actual WW3 with nukes and bioweapons and everything, the aftermath of which literally decimated the human population. Did I forget to mention the war lasted around 25-30 years?

That war had some amazing moments too... like ecoterrorists purging the sick and unclean (these guys had a body count on par with the Augmented Humans, about 40 million), the Chinese going full suicide mode to destroy the US and flinging theirs and the Soviet's nukes at us as we did to them...

Kinda makes sense that this level of attrocity forced the world to bind together to fix the damages and form one government, which still took a couple of decades mind you setting wise.

The funniest shit is for all the dystopianism of the Federation (which is pretty bad), Blob's own authoritarian and superior philosophy king bullshit was soundly rejected by them.

You know, at this point we could write a guide to "stages of experiencing bob"

Let's see... squirrel here is at stage 2 it seems: bafflement.
You could just rearrange the Freud stages:

1. Denial
"There's no way anyone could believe this isn't a troll. Nobody could possibly think black panther is the modern equivalent of the emancipation proclamation."

2. Shock
"He tweets this kind of stuff out alot, and I'm not seeing any punchlines. How could someone be that angry over a disagreement over a comic movie?"

3. Sadness
"Maybe if he wasn't bullied, or got the help he needed, it wouldn't turn out this way. Maybe he can still change, and turn his life around."

4. Anger
"You know what? Fuck him. Asshole makes fun of people worried about their jobs, while he sits on his fat ass and chases NEET bucks. Gimme those hats. I'm legitimately MOTI here."

5. Acceptance
"Holy shit, dumbass actually ate that? Looks like someone was trying to grow their own penicillin. Guess the robot bodies in the superior future won't want tastebuds."

Pretty sure not Freud
