LOL at this fat faggot talking about 21st Century warfare saying "Numbers are obsolete" like a complete fucking dipshit.
Yes, the days of human wave attacks are over, the days of having 10X the amount of your opponent, but all ill-trained conscripts, is over for the large major theater battles.
But numbers DO matter. Part of war is attrition. Kill a larger percentage of the enemy faster than they can kill a large percentage of yours.
Bob is dumb enough he probably thinks Rumsfeld and Cheney's "minimum boots on the ground" that was parroted by the exceptional individuals Obama put in Pentagon positions is the way to do it, and doesn't understand that raw numbers is why we lost control of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Even someone's who military experience consists of Hearts of Iron III can see that we went in with about a 10th of what we needed in both nations, and garrisoned less than a 20th of what we needed to control the territory.
He probably is one of those smooth-brained faggots that we saw tons of in the 1990's who claimed that smart bombs made infantry obsolete.
He's the type of dipshit who promises a diplomatic result to military operations.
Good lord, anyone with a passing knowledge of Warcraft/Starcraft ladder games knows this (never mind the in-CD Campaigns). I guess Mr. Superior Future thinks wars will eventually turn into that one episode of Star Trek where the computers fought all the battles and people just placidly walked into disintegrators if they were chosen to be casualties. (TOS S1 E23: A Taste of Armageddon).
