This is going off topic but since he mentioned Chappelle's Show did anyone else think Dave's rationale for quitting because "Whitey was liking my jokes" was just a total cop out for the truth that Season 3 of Chappelle's Show was just turning out to be straight up bad?

I watched a few episodes of Chappelle's Show and for the most part it aged really well, the Rick James's skit is still one of the funniest pieces of sketch comedy. But if you watch the scraps of Season 3 with Charlie Murphy hosting the skits were quite mediocre. I think the only sketch from that which was kinda funny was the Tupac rap song seemingly referencing the 2000s which pretty much went nowhere.

I think Chappelle is a bit of a perfectionist and just didn't want Chappelle's Show being remembered as another lame Comedy Central original. If Dave really didn't want the White people to enjoy his humor he wouldn't have gone on SNL (the whitest yuppie show ever) years later where they straight up paid tribute to the best of Chappelle's Show. Hell he wouldn't do specials on Netflix either.
If Dave was that horrified by the prospect of (conservative) white people liking his comedy then he probably wouldn't have devoted an entire segment of his act to shitting on Jussie Smollett.

Bob's entire premise is wrong to begin with. It wasn't so much that Dave hated the fact he had a fanbase that included white people. He hated the kind of comedy the show was dabbling in the first place, and how he had felt he lost creative control of it. He hated the exposure that it had received and thought the show was ruining his life.

He also has made it pretty abundantly clear that he feels that there are deeper and far more sinister problems when working within Hollywood, something that Bob has lashed out at him for before.

In a lot of ways, what's been going on with Kanye West over the last few years can be seen as a successor to what happened with Chappelle. Bob is simply reframing what happened with him so he can shit on people for liking a stand up special that he didn't like.

Sucks that you are in this position, but asking for money on the internet only works if you have some modicum of fame, and being Moviebob's brother doesn't cut it.

Yes, Jim Sterling gets 13k a month to repeat himself every month, life sucks and it is unfair, but the internet is indifferent to you Chippa and your problems, so for the love of god don't rely on your shitty podcast about fucken blockbuster of all things to pay your bills.

If things are tight, get a part time job. What's wrong with serving tables or flipping burgers? I did it, everybody did. My boss was a gas attendant for a year to pay for medical bills, and he did that while on his main job he was responsible for a team of 20 people in a multi-national company, and he did so without a ounce of shame or hurt pride, he was a man, and did what a man had to do.

Have some dignity, or is that too much to ask from the evolved americans?

For me what makes this absolutely darkly hilarious is knowing that ol' Righteous And Correct Boob has spent a few years directly antagonizing people that want universal health care.

So he did get this Masshealth as someone asked but it took too long, which if it's a public health plan then that makes sense, so he had to pay out of pocket for a while. Too top it off, his company switched to Aetna and they are "forcing" him to use CVS and he doesn't like them I guess because they screwed up a vital prescription before?

Now I'm not too in the know and am not comfortable saying Chip has big brother Bob levels of bullshit but can an insurance company say "No you are denied using X pharmacist"? Or is this more of "I'm sorry but X pharmacist isn't in our network" and Chip neglected to mention that?

It's the latter. They aren't forcing you to use CVS, they're pointing out that they are a pharmacy that accepts your type of health insurance. I don't know why you wouldn't use them as pharmacy, you claim that they messed up a prescription but that's an issue that is easily fixable by just talking to them. If it's between that or paying out of pocket then I would definitely work things out with them.

It's almost coming across as Chris is making up excuses so he could justify his e-begging.

White people are the only activists of any kind you ever see, period.
What about the great race grifters like Al Sharpton and that one shitty comedian who was offended by Apu? Those are the kind of activists Robert can get behind! He probably would have supported Rachel Dolezal before she got exposed.

Not that it matters anyway, because Diabeeto's "support" consists of an occasional stream of shitty tweets.

What about Token X himself?

That's what's weird/fishy. He never says directly that CVS was the one who screwed up the med. He just says that there once was a problem with it and then he says that he likes using this one pharmacist because they know him and whatever. He also talks about the issue with Mass health in the past tense but this issue with Aetna in the present. I don't know, that just might be sloppy writing, and to be fair it is just a tweet, but who's to say. What I didn't capture is that the official Aetna customer service account actually got a hold of Chip and they began a dialogue.

Now that's just good customer service right there. What will happen now? Only time will tell.

Dunno if it is good customer service, but for health care and airlines, it isn't surprising to see them reaching out to people on twitter. They pay people to keep searching their names on social media and reaching out to anyone who seems dissatisfied.

And that's because bad wording of them on social media spreads like crazy, because both services already have a bad reputaion in general, and for a good reason. However, and talking from experience here, everytime I had a issue with my medical plan, whenever I contacted them and asked for a alternative solution or some work around, I always found them very willing to help and most of the times I didn't have to pay a extra dime.

My point is that yeah, health care plans can dick people in horrible ways, but if you are willing to hustle along, and if the valor is something next to nothing, they will always prefer to work something on your favor. The Chippa is begging on a patreon that is bringing 351 bucks, that is nothing. I'm not saying that is the money he needs for his bills, but this amount is very reasonable to work around without the need to beg.

I dunno, I don't like to talk about this issue because that is his private bussiness, and I would rather for him to keep his private bussiness private, but begging for pennies on patreon is just pathetic dude, and once you get the stench of a e-begger, it doesn't go away.

It sucks about Chip’s kid, she appeared normal in pictures. I hope she doesn’t have anything serious or develops conservative views on politics otherwise her obese, basement dwelling uncle will curb stomp her.

Anyway, this is all Chip’s fuckup for sticking with a pharmacy that’s out of network. If anything, I could see Aetna reimbursing what they’d pay and Chip forking over the difference. I don’t know the specifics of their situation but it’s highly stupid to pay out of pocket and stick with a pharmacy especially since all ma & pa pharmacies are gone and you’re either at Walgreens or CVS.

Insurance companies all have their own mail order pharmacies for everything but primarily speciality drugs. It’s in your best interest to use what’s in network to save yourself money as you can get 90 days for much cheaper and speciality drugs. I pay $5 for a $40k/year drug. I’ve paid $0 for a $20k single dose drug. Glad I have great insurance!

It's very unfortunate that Bob's niece is special needs, and I don't think anyone here is glad to see that. It might help explain his mysterious financial problems though if his brother had to start charging him rent (or upped his rent) to help pay for her medical care.

I'm sorry, but since she's special needs, doesn't that make her part of the America that's rightly left behind? Not very "properly evolved." No space for such a waste of resources in the Superior Future, I would think.

"Are there no workhouses? Are there no prisons?"

It also really makes it likely Bob himself really is autistic or something giving the odds of things running in the family.

I find the idea of Bob having financial woes odd given his Patreon is earning a massive 3500 a month, and I know it's broken 4K at least once. What's he spending the money on, is Boston that much of a price gouger for rent?

Something about surplus population goes in here, along with Sir Patrick Stewart.
