He admitted when the nominations came out that he expected Phoenix to win it. If Joker had won any of the bigger awards he would of likely had a nuclear meltdown.

Yeah Bob will likely be more salty over the Sonic movie and the election cycle (if Trump wins and/or Bernie gets the democratic nomination) more than anything

To be fair, Parasite is an excellent movie, and it deserves each Oscar it won. Out of the Best Picture nominees, it would have been my pick (though it's still a fucking disgrace that movies like The Lighthouse, Uncut Gems, and Midsommar were snubbed entirely). Its winning awards is only woke in that they gave awards to a Korean film, the movie itself has nothing woke about it.Joker didn’t win best picture (it’s not best picture worthy) but man the salt would have been worth it. At least we have best actor, though. Especially since Black Panther won very little last year.
After last year, it was obvious Bong Rip Korean would take home everything as the academy has to go for the woke.
It would have been funny if Joker had won more awards than Black Panther did, but alas, it won two to CGI Isolationist Africa's three. However, it did snag one of the more prestigious awards in best actor, while Black Panther only got production awards like score, production design, and costume design. In my opinion, that puts it higher up.
So yeah, if Bob wants to fellate Parasite, so be it. Stopped clocks and all that. Check it out when you can, it's worth a watch.

Well,Parasite was good, so hey, congrats. Dunno how much it went for woke points, but at one point I don't think anyone cares either way.
Thing is, the other stuff wasn't all that great, Marriage Story relies way to much on their stars flexing their acting chops when the story isn't that creative or gripping, same with Joker, Phoenix has to chew and mug to compesate for a very realiable safe script, Tarantino does pack a bang on his movie, but you gotta sit ther for an hour and half watching DiCaprio and Pitt fuck around for nothing. Point is, most of these movies have a very strong feeling of "been there done that", even if it's quality "been there done that".
And Parasite won't blow your mind or anything, but at least the premise was original enough to keep you invested.
Either way, it's going to get memory holed in 5 or so months, this director seems to have a talent to make movies that people cry to be the next immortal classic, just to be forgoten in the next cycle. Anybody remember Okja? or Snowpiercer? The Host?

Phoenix and the score are the two of the film’s elements even the haters felt it deserved Oscars. Parasite was a great film so I can understand Bob praising it.
