Methinks I confused "creativity" for "originality" in this instance, and I was going to comment on his laziness because it does show in his elevator pitches. One of Bob's critical (no pun intended) flaws is his constant need for validation, especially from those he wants to impress with his simping for Naomi Wu and his embracing of Democratic talking points despite sounding like a Randroid. He views himself as the hero of the story and wants recognition for it whether he deserves it not (he doesn't.) We are all aware of how unpleasant Bob can be if you do not agree with him or if you call him out on his stupidity.

The Game Overthinker is a testament to Bob's self-indulgence as he fancied himself as the "hero." Had it been a fan fiction, he would have been the self-insert and don't get me wrong: SIs can work as characters, but it takes self-awareness and skill to successfully pull off. Neither of which Bob possesses. As such, he comes off as a self-parody rather than a genuine character, especially when he went on that rant in the series finale. Bob sees himself as an intellectual titan and moral paragon that does not to go on a journey of self-realization...

It's funny that you should say fan fiction. Since before the Game Overthinker became well..youtube "comedy", Bobo actually had the whole as a 12 chapter fan fiction where he WAS a self insert fighting off the evil armies of CoD, Gears of War and etc from invading the innocent Nintendo dimension.
