While people on the left still slob his knob hard, nobody else cares about Jon Stewart anymore because he abandoned all but the thinnest facade of telling jokes in favor of sanctimonious preaching.

Like many “punchlines” during Stewart’s set Sunday night, that one drew applause as opposed to laughter.

It's impossible to write an article that's more of a blowfile than the one the Daily Beast wrote for Stewart's comeback tour, but that one line is very revealing.

And of course there's the fact that despite left wing rags continuing to suck up to him, almost nobody actually ever talks about Jon Stewart on social media anymore, let alone does anyone in power listen to him. He's irrelevant.

Way back in December, or whenever it was, when Bob had his kerfuffle with the guy who made fun of his book, there was an unnamed female family member that first contacted the guy's fake employer. When she failed to get anything to happen THEN Bob and Chris jumped in. At least that's the story according to the guy.

I'm not saying it was his sister but I am saying he has no other close female family members besides his sister in law, whom I've never seen get in the middle of any of this and I'm not even sure if she has a Twitter account, so it's most likely his sister.
I thu-ink it was one of his female cousins, if I remember that twitter spergery correctly. Can't remember who mentioned it, but someone in the twatters did. Most likely Bob himself.

It wouldn't shock me given what we already know about Bob's upbringing. She fought his battles when he was an ill-behaved child, she would likely still be doing it when he's a manchild.
If I remember correctly, the book mocking saga happened because one of the passages of Brick by Brick that was mocked on the podcast or whatever has to do with Bob's grandma passing away. That was the reason Bob and Chris gave as to why their family was upset about the whole thing. So even if we put Bob aside I can see why Bob's mother (or sister) would be upset that grandma Chipman's death was being brought up on a mocking tone.

However, I already wrote my thoughts on that so I'll shamelessly quote myself instead of writing it again.
I think that may be my favorite part in this whole mess. Nobody who ever read that book to mock Bob cared that grandma Chipman passed away. Condolences to the Chipman family and all that because losing a loved one sucks even if it was years ago, but her passing away was never the main focus of this.

Every single joke or mockery made in relation to her death is about Bob's reaction to it, never about her passing. The comments about it were never "🦀 🦀 LOL Bob's grandma is dead 🦀 🦀" they were always a variation of "Bob skipped his own grandma's funeral to buy a new AC in order to not interact with his family, how fucked up/pathetic is that?" My point being: If any family member is upset at grandma's death being talked about online, blame Bob for writing about it on his awful book and being such a massive cunt online that people use that to mock him.

For a "film buff", Moviebob doesn't seem to care about preserving the history of cinema.
Well Iron Man didn't come out until 2008, was anything before that time REALLY worth saving?

But real talk, for all the media Bob likes to talk about and conspicuously consoom, he doesn't seem to actually like very much in any media. He doesn't seem to play any video games outside of 1st Party Nintendo releases and only seems to watch the most surface level blockbuster movies. I would wager his knowledge of comics is limited to a few notable story lines of major superheroes. Bob is, despite his attempts to appear cultured and knowledgeable and worldly...a fucking pleb.

While I don't doubt he probably enjoys the simplistic blockbusters he shills, I think he wears his 'deeper" pop culture interests as a badge, a "look at me, I'm cool" thing. It's no different from the people wearing a band shirt because you can find it at Target- the people that buy a Metallica shirt (maybe the most mainstream metal band ever) but can't even name a ubiquitous hit like Enter Sandman, let alone debate the merits of what each bassist brought to the band.

I don't think Bob actually loves or feels attachment to anything except Mario.

Per Chris Chipman’s Twitter (post shared by Bob), the Chipmans still have that Christmas tablecloth on their dining table and they are still raising their kids in a pig sty. Mayonnaise ghoul aesthetic in full effect.

The only time anyone brings up Jon Stewart is when they're talking about how bad Trevor Noah is.

I'ma level with you fam, I never gave a lot of credence to the autism angle. I always just saw him as a perpetually angry, boorish, self-important asshole who is dumb. Autism seemed, to me, to be the easy way out of explaining him. It gives him a crutch that he does not need or deserve. I know we had a discussion on the different signs of autism and how Bob pretty well fits them but I'm not fully convinced. For example: I saw this tweet and I don't see autism. I see an angry dumbass coping and coping hard.
It comes off as a sheltered dipshit thinking that a city burning is a real swinging time while telling his mom "It's not a phase! I really wanna Bern the system!"

I just see it as a person who completely takes the Red State/Blue State division as team sports. Were it the other way around and Cletus was burning buildings and cars Bobert would be crying over domestic terrorism and praising the "civil disobedience" of parking your car in protest.

If George Floyd was a Republican man he would just be calling Floyd a piece of shit for prior crimes and having drugs in his system.

Bob is just a tool, a complete partisan hack. Autism isn't the cause of this but just a factor in his nature.

Dunno if it's autism spectrum or not, but I think Bob has a fundamental problem with distinguishing between fiction and reality. I said it before, but I think Bob has a basic problem with understanding that movies are not real. Like, on a surface level he'll acknowledge that they're not real, but from his behaviour it feels like he just knows that the characters and stories are not real while the underlying rules and concepts are, in fact, real. Like, the good guys win, the nerds get the hot girls, and the bullies are beaten. Violent protests result in meaningful positive change, and the main characters (aka those who matter) are never hurt during a riot.
It's not a conscious thing, just some underlying misconception about reality. The resulting cognitive dissonance is gnawing at him, especially since 2016. He KNEW that Trump couldn't possibly win, it was against his ingrained rules of reality, and yet, Trump won. So to him, this reality is just fundamentally flawed and broken, and it's killing him. The only way he could reconcile this is by treating this as the second act of storytelling, where the protagonists have to fight increasing odds, so he slips further and further into demented, radical thoughts of revenge.
On the other hand, he also thought he was already through his second act, with the struggles of his highschool bullying being the low point, and with Obama and then Hillary coming the time of redemption and reward for him. So he's currently raging impotently at reality not aligning with his vision.

Tl;dr Bob has some fundamental cognitive dissonance about reality and it's breaking his smooth brain.

In more pretentious terms we call it the "availability heuristic". Bobby spends so much of his life consooming pop-culture drivel that some of these will float on top of his mind when he contemplates real life situations. This is worsened by the fact that such things, in particular Hollywood movies, are designed to manipulate people emotionally, thus etching themselves deeper into your psyche while bypassing rational analysis.

God would love him if he said his prayers with such regularity and devotion. Unfortunately, niggers won't.

Thank you! That's what I've been trying to tell you all. And Bob will regularly look for reasons to conform things to his movie styles. Remember his thing about police supplies in cardboard instead of the black tactical cases?

And since Bob's taste and knowledge in and of movies is incredibly plebeian, his takes are just laughably basic and bland.

That's basically struggle sessions, innit.

/edit: Also, this serves as a great reminder that there's no absolution in this cult. If you were born with the wrong skin colour, i.e. lacking melanin, you were born of and with sin, and there's no Redeemer that will save you. It is permanent and it can and will always be held against you. At least most religions have a way to redeem yourself, there's a way out.
Y'know, when I think about it, isn't there another major religion that puts great emphasis on how their God actually kinda hates them, and that their status as members of that religion is mainly hereditary?

lol that's true. He did as much when the mayonnaise ghouls stormed the Michigan capitol building and by stormed I mean they all waited in line and voluntarily had the temperatures taken before they were allowed inside.

You could that line of thinking to most Left-Wing politics these days.
So many ignorant young people thinking they're the hero of their own shitty little Hary Potter or Hunger Games story. The Right Side of History.
The end result of all that is gonna be a lot of broken and bitter people. The world keeps turning with or without you.
You know because real life doesn't have protagonists.
Although I must admit the idea of Millennials in nursing homes still bitching about Trump just like hippy Baby Boomers with Nixon and the JFK assassination before them is deliciously ironic.
On the other hand the massive wave of disillusionment and aging-related angst we're in for in the next decade won't be very good for society.
Especially considering that this isn't a generation renowned for their coping skills.

He has always had that problem. His brain was broken decades ago when Nintendo ignored the shitty Mario Bros movie and confirmed that Mario is not, in fact, from Brooklyn.

Many of them have learned about the Civil Rights Movement in school and it seems they want to have their own Civil Rights Movement whether it surrounds women's rights, trans rights, or Black Lives Matter.

I have a different take: That comment looks like he completely cargo-culted somebody elses comment. Legit wouldn't surprise me if he saw someone say exactly that and just copied it nearly verbatim. Guarantee you if you put him in a situation where he has not already heard a comedian cracking jokes about it he could not crack jokes like that because he's too autistic.

They want to be the next MLK, without having to go through what MLK went through. MLK and the original Civil Rights movement were prepared to face anything- from prison time to death- while these trust fund babies bitch and moan the moment any kind of real difficulty crops up.

Bull Connor would've fed these idiots to the dogs without a second thought.
