It's an interesting thought exercise to wonder why Bob was never me-too'd. I think it's because Bob has actually never managed to spend any time alone with a female he wasn't related to by blood or marriage. Every photo of Bob in a social setting has been a group thing. Movie depictions of sex and dating, any interactions between a man and a woman, really, are the only things Bob has. It's just another way Autist Bob is completely ignorant of real life.

He was never me-too-ed because he never ever had the chance to act upon it. The deal with serial harassers is that, while a dude can be a sociopathic pig and attack people, without a power or influence to exercise, it won't be long till the word gets very public.

And as we all know, Robert has neither power of influence. I don't think he is confortable around women, considering the way he talks, he doesn't seem a very charming person, his witty remarks come across as contrived and awkard, and I'm sure he is very consious about his looks as well. Add that to the usual fear of rejection, I think he just stays away from women, just to be happy to play the white knight role.

If he had the power and influence tough and fulfilled as his fantasies of grandeur, then you can bet your cash that he would go hard on the paint with women. Hell, we can see that with whatever little twitte clout he has, he acts like a bully given the chance.

It makes sense that Josh (or whoever runs/ran that tumblr) would be a Moviebob apologist. As I recall, Shamus, Josh, and Bob all worked at Escapist around the same time.

Spoiler Warning really started to go downhill once Chris/Errant Signal came onto the show and enabled most of the cast's current year-itis. It was my favorite LP group too...

He really is a bad writer. I just made an archive of his Rotten Tomatoes bio. It’s got missing words, awkward wording, and the usual sloppiness we’ve come to expect from Bob. (I won’t point out the errors. Bob can find them himself; I’m not his fucking line editor.)

But one thing in this cringe-fest stood out to me:



Bob thinks a bio is where you boast. “He’s been published by” is how an amateur writes his bio. “Look, I matter!” Whereas legitimate writers would say something like “Bob’s work has been featured in publications such as...” It’s one of those small, subtle distinctions that will always make LARPing-as-a-real-writer Bob stand out like a turd in a punch bowl.
