I also think he's not making the point he wants to (whatever it is). Yeah, Metallica had waning popularity pre-Napster saga. But the thing is, people didn't dislike the members of the band until the Napster thing happened. Outright hatred and waning popularity are two separate entities.

Difference between Metallica and Wendig is that Metallica was at one point one of the biggest metal bands ever to the point where they put Guns n Roses to shame. They stood to lose significant amounts of money from Napster and had an understandable, if not greedy, reason to oppose Napster. Wendig can't claim a similar opposition to Internet Archive, he's a nobody in the long run whose books sell like ice in Alaska, he shut the e-libary down out of pure ego.

I miss the original Gwenpool run.

Man, I loved Dr. McNinja... Hastings also wrote some Deadpool at first, right? "Fear itself", I think. He's a pretty cool guy and it's great that he has continued success.

There are people(s) he regards as irredeemably subhuman and worthy of nothing but contempt. He might sometimes say that he doesn't want these people(s) to be outright murdered in death camps, but he makes it clear that he absolutely wouldn't mind them dying. Pretty sure he'd just shrug and say "well, they could have voted for Hillary" if someone were to actually build death camps.
Funny thing is, a big part of his contempt comes from his belief that he himself came from a white obsolete working class background, but managed to elevate himself above the troglodyte scum he hates so much. So on one hand he believes that it must be possible to fix their from his perspective vile and broken mindsets, but on the other hand he makes it clear that he doesn't see it as worthy of anyone's time to even try. It's a very conservative sentiment, when you think about it. Pulling up yourself by the bootstraps, those inner city gangbangers CHOSE that life for themselves, why don't they just stop doing that? Bob has the exact same mindset when it comes to white "obsoletes".
He just lacks any and all self-awareness to actually recognize this.
