If you're unfamiliar with the episode of The Simpsons being shown, Marge vs. the Monorail, Springfield is hoodwinked by a charlatan into spending three million dollars they were awarded on a monorail system that doesn't work instead of fixing up their town or hiring more first responders. That's the kind of cultural, pop or otherwise, awareness that I'd expect from a Bob stan.

Funny story: last New Years' or so, I bumped into expat YouTube. It's a small, stupid community that's largely limited to reaction videos about foreign food, but it does produce the occasion bit of interesting khantent, like, why doesn't America have a high-speed rail system? Aeroponics are a pipedream due to the immense initial costs it takes to setup, controlling the environment for the exact PH levels (otherwise you lose everything and have to start again), and need constant 24/7 supervision (and you have to pay someone to do that).

Of course, these all fall behind massively to tried and true farming, but I assumed everyone already knew that.

I'm always amused how much we can learn from this thread just based on how ignorant Bob is.
