Maybe the other side of his family was Catholic and someone converted to make their spouse happy at some point. That's usually the most frequent reason people convert to Catholicism in my experience. Even before reading this, I was thinking that Bob's growing resentment of the people he blames for bullying him had to have something more than his usual grudging unforgiveness behind it. I'm thinking that he includes himself (LOL) among the "most vital, brilliant, creative meaningful people I know" who are held back by bullying trauma. No shit on this. I could add my experiences with twitter and social media, but i will just say that nuking everything into oblivion has helped me develop a healthy social behaviour and have more confidence in what i do and who i am. Social media is a disease IMO.
