If Warner had Luke's fabulous Machine Learning algorithm, they would have been convinced that the first reviews are from "insular community with some sort of marching orders", not "real customers", and that they should proceed with Justice League.
AI, isn't that the thing that turned into a Nazi after less than a week on Twitter and identifies pictures of black people as gorillas on Google?

Recall that part of the Consoomer meme:

Why should men be mad (and suddenly discover Marxism) because women outspend them? Since time immemorial women has held the checkbook to the family and they are expected to outspend men!

Bobby shills Luke's "machine-learning project".
View attachment 1813965

"Machine learning" sounds grandiose, but just read what Luke says about his brain child:

So what Luke wants is a faux hi-tech front that reassures companies that h8ters are all paid shills. If Luke were at all competent, his algorithm will contain all the bias of its creator, i.e. a mentally ill, chronically suicidal, media-addicted tranny who thinks "representation" justifies all. But Machine Learning!! Science!!! and don't everybody Fucking Loves Science?

WTF is Blob even trying to say? It’s been talked about before but it bears repeating that he writes like the Postmodernism Generator. I’ve never seen a worse case of thesaurus syndrome.

I wonder if that last movie is the one I watched in 2016. It was a weird pre WW2 push for fascism. Fascinating little thing. Especially when you just think of how attractive it seemed at the time.
IIRC Gabriel Over The White House was written on the direction of William Randolph Hearst as what he hoped the FDR administration would look like.

The summary execution of gangsters by a troika led by the President's chief of staff (!) would fit right in Bob's Superior Future.

It was on his ED page, sorry. And I think Metokur ranted about it in a stream while explaining why he'd never do a Moviebob video. If I remember correctly it was while he was still on Escapist and some kid in the forums pointed out he was being an idiot or something. So he decided that the intelligent thing would be to use his fans to go after the kid.

Sorry, I tried to look it up on Google and couldn't find anything.
Thanks.
He views his fanbase as his personal army to destroy people and things that displease him.
Except when doing that would be bad for his image. He didn't send his private army after Lindsay Ellis because he knew that, as someone who's a cishet white man, he's on the bottom of the progressive stack and doing that would be the end of his career.
Why does he want to house people on the moon and Mars?

He does know that it wouldn't be cost effective to transport people between the moon and Earth, right?
Why even care about a modern train system?
To be fair, trains are good for the environment, but they aren't the solution to all of society's problems some ppl think they are.
Is Japan an exception, even decades after WWII?
Didn't America rebuild a lot of Japan?

If the first thing you think of when you hear ”moneyed interests control society and organise things in secret” is ”this is clearly a reference to the Jews”, you just might be an anti-Semite.
AI, isn't that the thing that turned into a Nazi after less than a week on Twitter and identifies pictures of black people as gorillas on Google?
In fairness, it turned into a Nazi because it was programmed to learn how to have a conversation from the people who used it, and edgelords responded to everything it said with ”Heil Hitler”.

Why does he want to house people on the moon and Mars?

In a word: SCIENCE.

In many words (and armchair psychology):

When Bob was a kid in the 80s and 90s, Pa Chipman took him to a fair that showed what the future could be like. This future included moon colonies and commercial space travel. Bob got it into his head that this is the future, and he somehow earned it. Naturally, when it never showed up on time, he blamed the mayonnaise ghouls and a certain orange man.

Now for the armchair psychology. The Superior Future is Bob's CWCville. It's a mental sanctuary where he can retreat from the crushing pain of his Inferior Present. In the Superior Future, he's loved by big titty Asian waifus, has a robot body instead of his current diabetic hunk of meat, and the mayonnaise ghouls he hates are dead and gone. That the Superior Future is impractical or impossible is not important to Bob. It's a fantasy that helps him cope with his utter failure at life.

Additionally, like Chris-Chan, Bob believes that the Superior Future will be here any moment, as long as some action is performed. When it doesn't happen, Bob looks to blame someone. But the truth is, even without the obsoletes, the Superior Future will take decades to get here, maybe longer. Heck, given the modern Left's obsession with post-truth doctrines, without the obsoletes it may well be impossible to reach the Superior Future. Even if we could, Bob would still be unhappy; that's just who he is.

An alternative psychological theory:

It's worth noting that Bob's Superior Future does not rely on any input from him. He does not need to design and build the rockets, he does not need to go to the moon and terraform it, and he certainly does not need to grow the wheat on it. He just needs to live on the moon and upload his mind into a robot body. In other words, it's not something that will lift mankind into a new era: it's another product for him to consoom.

Yes, you read that right. The quintessential consoomer, his anger at the lack of a Superior Future may well be that he is being denied a new product to consoom. Look how he's reacting to the lack of capeshit in 2020: anger, because he cannot consoom a new product. It's the same with the Superior Future: he cannot consoom all the Superior Future has to offer, so he gets mad. And if he does, he'll immediately demand the next new product to consoom.

This is all armchair psychology, so take it as you will.

This is how you know Bob's understanding of the Soopeeryah Fyoocha is on the level of a Cargo Cultist in Micronesia.
There's a lot more similarities too.

There was, and maybe still is, an isolated tribe on some Pacific island that worshipped Prince Phillip as a god despite never having met him in the flesh and, a bit like most cargo cults, thought he was responsible for supplies from America.
Bob worships celebrities and politicians (who, curiously enough, are all young attractive women) despire never having had any actual contact with them beyond a photo, and thinks they'll be responsible for the Superior Future.

How many memes can Bob incarnate? Not only he is a meme, but he's the incarnation of this one as well.

This isn't exactly relevant but it's something vaguely interesting I found when scrolling through this thread and which explains a lot about Robert's politics. (cheers @Positron for archiving this)

I've said repeatedly on this thread that Bobby's political beliefs are fascist in the way Mussolini and Mosley were fascists, because he supports a strong, authoritarian state with one national identity and attacking people who fail to conform to that identity, but this screed really proves it. (given the fact that it's full of progressive-sounding buzzwords and makes no sense, I'll stick the full text in a spoiler)
I don't know that they have names as such yet, but using portmanteaus of current nomenclature I'd posit a dominant cultural force that you might call "Green Democratic-Progressive Feudalism" versus a reactionary "Militant Egalitarian Primitivist" movement. The first representing the "matured" evolution of the current unspoken/awkward but none-the-less clear alliance of tech/science industries and knowledge-workers sufficient in size and function to implement the inevitably necessary drastic machinations necessary to manage the reshaping of the world through climate crisis mitigation, the adjacent art/culture/media sector and the creative class workers (both industries so global and powerful that "nationalizing" them under a Green New Deal is really more like an allegiance OF nations)

The other knowledge and intellectual-capital workers of the finance industry (the so-called "PMC"), Left and Center-Left Parties in Democracies, the marginalized citizens of various groups who generally vote for them across class AND the mounting numbers of immigrant and refugee populations brought to those same Democracies by climate change, etc. Right now, a chaotic coalition at best - but given time and realignment? Quite sensible. The other side, in my projection, would comprise an ever-present/ever-shifting reactionary opposition. Initially borne of myriad nationalist resistances to the sweeping changes and unifications necessary to secure the future and thus philosophically/aesthetically grounded in a rough anarcho-primitivist ideology; but in practice: Neo-Fascists, as ever.

Mind you: That's not to say I look at the scenario of "Aesthetically 'woke' future-tech megacorps ruling the planet in quasi-democratic Feudal protectorates because they built the engines making the sky blue again" as a UTOPIA - just plausibly one of our better case scenarios, versus "scorched-Earth dune buggy gang warfare by 2030." I don't want to do FURY ROAD. I don't tan well.

Anyway, the TL;DR there should really be: Good news - We're GOING to get a "Green New Deal."

IRONY: We're gonna get it because, despite the crunchy name, the *smart* capitalists are SALIVATING for it, because they're going to become *God Kings* implementing the thing (Thumb emoji). And the reason the GOP isn't onboard, is because the cheap jack nationalist companies that fill THEIR coffers don't have a place in the world that comes after.

Most of us on this thread know that he's a big fan of eugenics and dividing the world into ”obsolescents” and ”superior futurists” (for lack of a better term), but if you really look into his rant you can see that he believes this and what he really wants in his ”superior future”.

He starts by vomiting out the contents of a thesaurus, but there are some pretty important points in there that really make what he believes clear. He talks about ”green... progressive feudalism” as opposed to a ”reactionary militant egalitarian primitivism”. In short, he believes that a truly progressive state is made up of rulers and the ruled and that the concept that all humans are equal is inherently ”primitive”. If that doesn't scare you, you're not paying attention.

He also implies that ”knowledge-workers” (in other words, the high priests of SCIENCE!!!) should unite with ”intellectual-capital workers of the finance industry” (banks) and ”creative class workers” (which is what he envisages himself as) to rule over ”nationalists” (mayo ghouls). This is literally a replica of the old Finnish feudal system, with the ”creative-class workers” as the nobility, the cult of science as the Church, and the banks as the bourgeoisie, although I'm not sure he knows enough history to realise this.

It's also worth noting that he talks about the Green New Deal here. I try and avoid politisperging on this thread because this isn't A&N and I'd rather not get into a debate over whether climate change exists or what the best way to solve it is, but I've actually read the proposals and they talk about businesses being centrally directed to solve the climate crisis and, knowing Bob, he likes the sound of Washington being able to tell farmers to stop their cows farting because of his ecofascism and hatred for farmers. Bear in mind that feudal lords centrally planned their peasants' economic lives and told them what to plant.

In conclusion, Bob looks at
Bobby said:
the scenario of "Aesthetically 'woke' future-tech megacorps ruling the planet in quasi-democratic Feudal protectorates because they built the engines making the sky blue again"
and sees it as a positive outcome.

TL, DR - Roberto likes the idea of feudalism because he imagines himself as a nobleman, he wrote an essay on Twitter explaining why neo-feudalism is a good thing and why we should all adopt a centrally planned economy because of some proposals written by a third-rate thinktank and which, funnily enough, AOC just so happens to support.

Kudos on being able to make sense out of any of that gibberish. I mentally bailed after he barfed up the word salad of "portmanteaus of current nomenclature" then proceeded not to use any actual portmanteaus (or portmanteaux, if you want to be really snotty about it).

That whole rant was a word salad and an example of why using long words doesn't make you smart.

If anyone here remembers Autphag, that post reminded me of what he used to write.

If you wanted to be *really* snotty about it, wait for someone to use "portmanteaux" then ask them why they're talking about luggage. That said, even Stephen King recognizing "using $5 words when $.05 words will do" as the sign of a hack (and he should fucking know.) "Mix-ups of current names" says the exact same thing, in english, and uses fewer characters, which is a feature on Twitter.

I love Bob. If we ever had to evacuate earth, we'd build three arks. One for politicians, celebrities, and geniuses, one for essential workers, and one for, say, film critics, telephone solicitors, poets, mimes, and DMV workers. The people on the third ark will be told how important and necessary they are. Shortly after launch, the third ark will be targeted directly at the sun. Then the first two arks can form a paradise.

We can call it the Golgifrinchian Plan.

And hit utter obliviousness that in no way, shape, or form does a useless parasite like him belong in the "superior futurist" category. He produces nothing of value, is in miserable health, and spergs out about children's media for a living, while expressing abominable opinions even his own side finds to be toxic and embarrassing. If they roll out those robot bodies he wants so much he isn't going to be on the list. He can't even take care of his actual, real body, and that shit is going to be for billionaires. Also since we'll have to reduce population to do anything like his "Superior Future," he'd be on the list for conversion to dog food.

It also still says absolutely nothing meaningful, but at least it doesn't waste your time with a half-dozen needless syllables of bullshit in an attempt to baffle.

"Nomenclature" is such a tell. It's one of those words that is almost never preferable to just using the word "name" or "label." It has specific uses in scientific language beyond which it's just a nickel word that midwits think sounds smart.

If anyone here remembers Autphag, that post reminded me of what he used to write.
It should be noted that Autphag is actually schizophrenic and probably doesn't have much choice of vomiting up word salads. Bob is doing this because he thinks it makes him look smart.

Exactly. Bob writes rants about how great neo-feudalism is without realising that he'd end up as a peasant, and would be thrown in the stocks for trying to chat up God-Empress Kamala the First.
Bob is doing this because he thinks it makes him look smart.
That, if anything, makes it worse.
