I honestly think he isn't even consciously aware of the depths of his misogyny. As an autist who doesn't know it, he's remarkably self-unaware, and he's a narcissist as well. He is exactly the sort of person who unironically says, "I can't be racist, I'm a Democrat!"; his performative feminism tricks him (and no one else) into thinking he isn't misogynistic.

The only part about Mario that Bob would ever have identified with is the adventure to save a proncess. It probably explains his obsession with pure fantasy worlds like his superior future. He looks down on jobs traditionally held by mayoghouls and that includes plumbing. He's indicated many times that he believes being a barista or a concession stand worker are more blue collar these days than being a plumber or construction worker.
He thinks he too smart to be a plumber. That kind of work is for the inferior masses while the intelligentsia such as himself do all the hard thinking about superhero movies that make society actually function.
I don't think so based on the sole factor that he spends all his time in his basement, unless you count him passing out drunk in public places. He's a perfect candidate for a public asskicking in a bar due to being an arrogant alcoholic who has an opinion on EVERYTHING. Apparently someone met him at a convention and apparently he was really aggressive and in-your face, and that was sober Bob. If he actually went out more and had a life he'd get his ass kicked or start sperging out at some Boston construction workers screaming how they were inferior and ruined his life by not wearing their masks.
Coincidentally being a barista or concession stand worker or Blockbuster employee requires a lot less work than being a plumber or a construction worker. I feel like that says something about the work ethic of the person making those claims.
