The thing is acidic marinade are fairly common, but you usually do them for a couple of hours, not the week Bob does.

I can only imagine the nightmare texture of that chicken.
not only that, it doesn't require that much sugar (Mountain Don't has like 46 grams of sugar per 12 oz can; I shudder to think of Bob using half of or all of a 2L bottle - 248 g of sugar - in this way on a fullsize chicken). Sometimes I like to use small amounts of vinegar in a scratch marinade; sometimes a tablespoon or so of Sumac spice - a middle-eastern import, which contains malic acid which is also found in apples. A brine-style marinade would be more effective than Mountain Don't, and would be much more likely to have a preservative effect, but I've never ran meat in those for more than 2 days, and half of that being defrost time in order to defrost meat safely. It's better to make a more beetus- or pre-beetus-friendly brine marinade than it is to use Mountain Don't.

Bob shouldn't pretend his beetus is under control and then eat shit like that. Hell, he shouldn't pretend it's under control and then brag about having Rum with breakfast, as if that's a thing people with high class/lots of money do, let alone that it's something to brag about. I mean, maybe in the shittiest quarters of the Boston area it might be something to brag about, but the rest of the fucking planet looks at "I had rum with breakfast this morning" and shake our facepalming/headdesking heads and go, "Bob, you fucking boozer, you. If that was at 12pm, that's pathetic, and if it's at 9am, that's even MORE pathetic." Even Frank Sinatra didn't drink before lunch. If Bob doesn't drink before technical lunchtime, it's because he's never awake before technical lunchtime. ANY fuckhead can have rum with breakfast if they WANT to. Most people DON'T want to. It doesn't make you special, Bob. It makes you Exceptional, but not special.

What the hell is with Boob's name? Did I miss some story?

I mean I get the reference to the song but does Boob actually think he makes...films or is he just trying to relate to younger people(women he can stalk) who are just now discovering the music of the 90's?

There was a hullabaloo involving one of Bob's Angel, Ashley Lynch, saying Seven Samurai was essentially bad and implying that it's the reason Snyder's movie are so long and bad. Some guy found that and compared it to where he said Avengers Endgame was "nothing short of an astounding never-before-seen feat in cinema". Bob did not take kindly to one of his chinless men pretending to be a woman getting laughed at so he jumped in with a few tweets coming to his tranny's defense. It came to a head in a now deleted tweet where he stated that people who say "lol but you like capeshit" really just wanna say the N-word. He followed that up with the same exact thing save for he swapped the "N-word" for a generic slur and the deleted that too because it's equally stupid. About 7 hours later he changed the account name to own the Chuds saying he's stupid and laughing at him. He's very clever and proud.
For those who missed it, everybody's favorite Consoomer is getting absolutely bodied on Twitter.

Why?

Because if you don't like Marvel, you clearly want to use the N-word.

It was bad enough even Bobby boy tried to walk it back... but not before screencaps were taken.

I found what lead up to all this Kurosawa and N-word nonsense.

To be fair Seven Samurai is so long there is a built in intermission in the middle of the movie. To be even more fair I have never heard anyone, ever, argue that their movie gets to be long because Seven Samurai is super long. It's a nice strawman he's constructed.
View attachment 2209847
So Ashley, real name Sean, made a stupid comment about Seven Samurai being too long and that being a veiled jab at equating Kurosawa with Snyder, someone found where she praised a bunch of consoomer crap, ate shit for it, and responded with the tweet that drove Bob to say anyone who makes these kinds of arguments really just wants to say the N-word.

THIS is the hill you have chosen to die on Bob.

EDIT:

Hilarious because that's what got this whole mess started in the first place.

I love when tough guys like Bob advocate for shit like this because, in their minds, they won't be the ones on the receiving end, ever. Point blank.

If he was in any way actually marginalized and oppressed he, like the rest of them, wouldn't advocate for something that could be turned around on him.

Could you imagine Blobbo going through life with a big "D" tattooed or carved on the side of his face, ala Mutants in X-Men?

Moviebob: "I don't even 'like' Hillary [Clinton]."

If anyone were to search "Hillary from:the_moviebob" on Twitter, you can find dozens, if not hundreds, of posts in which Bob happily bends over backwards to support Hillary Clinton throughout 2016 (and beyond). You might want to grab a drink and some popcorn, 'cause this is gonna be lengthy (dates listed as "y.m.d", based on California time):

2016.01.26: "[…] I'm okay if the one who can win it isn’t a stone-cold altruist. if all [Hillary Clinton] does is NOT make the changes for the worse [...] it will have been a vote well cast."

2016.03.02: "[...] [Hillary Clinton] will appoint the right judges and NOT drive the country into a wall [...] She meets my needs as a President, I don't really give a toss if she's 'nice.'"

2016.07.17: "Dtereotype [sic] of Hillary Clinton for decades has been that she's an 'I know what’s best for you' headmistress [...]"

2016.09.17: "I’ll vote [Hillary] Clinton [for] [...] a Democrat-apppointed Supreme Court to FORCE positive transformation on my slow-witted, improvement-averse country."

2016.09.26: "I've always 'liked' Hillary because [...].I WANT a president who'll cross any line to force this slow-witted country to get its shit together [...] We deserve a superior America to the broken one we have, and a solidly Democrat-apppointed [sic] SCOTUS can do that."

2016.11.09: "Hillary Clinton […] as a Democrat president would have given us a Supreme Court that would have, satisfying [sic], CRUSHED the forces that will now run the levers of power out of existence."

2017.01.12: "[Hillary Clinton] was [...] poised to re-center [reproductive] health and gender issues in national dialogue and […] would’ve been one SCOTUS judge closer to a weaponized progressive judiciary that could have hammered true change into the system."

2017.02.08: "Do people REALLY still buy that Hillary [Clinton] lost on an economic message?"

2017.03.20: "[Hillary] Clinton is [...] going to look like Joan of Arc. [...] the accepted narrative will be '[Hillary] [...] shouldve [sic] been President and was cheated,’ and any Democrat seeking real power/advancement will have to kiss the ring and 'acknowledge' that she 'took a bullet' for party/country."

2017.05.09: "[Hillary] Clinton campaigned as thought [sic] white working-class men were no longer an electorally meaningful demographic. […] a man running with the exact same record and campaign would've won in a walk […]"

2017:07.22: "The 'most important thing' was that [Hillary Clinton] was guaranteed to put pro-science, anti-faith judges on SCOTUS […] she was a vessel for long-game radicalism on the courts and through social policy."

2017.11.02: "[…] Hillary Clinton is [...] a guarantee of pro-science/anti-superstition votes on SCOTUS."

2018.05.09: "[...] if there was *some* scenario Hillary could get the Presidency [...] I'd want to see it [...]"

2019.04.11: "We have a Muslin [sic] ban [...] in the U.S. right now as a direct result of the election being stolen from [Hillary Clinton] [...]"

2019.04.16: "[Hillary] Clinton's OPEN antagonism appealed strongly to me."

2019.05.01: "[...] the [...] SEETHING visceral pure-straight hatred for the obsolscents [...] was Hillary’s one genuinely extra-endearing feature. My hopes of getting to actually WATCH the lights go out in Garbage America’s metaphorical eyes ended with Clinton’s loss"

2019.08.21: "[Hillary] Clinton […] ain't wrong: 'Trump Country' is a […] wasteland [...]"

2019.10.12: "[Hillary] Clinton’s 'basket of deplorables' gaffe was her REACHING OUT to Scum Nation; telling them 'you're not ALL bad, I know it!'"

2019.10.19: "I genuinely believe that Hillary [Clinton] pure straight *HATED* Trump Country and understood that it's [sic] collapse is part of the nation's evolution into a better version of itself—post-physical-labor, post-whiteness, post-patriarchy."

2019.12.31: "[Hillary Clinton] lost worthless bigots and dumb brutes who blamed a Black president and 'coastal elites' (i.e. smart people making something of themselves) for their own shortcomings."

2020.03.01: "[Bernie Sanders] expanded his base because he was [...] the ‘fuck Hillary’ option for ‘disenfranchised’ blue-collar dipshits who hate 21st Century Americans [...] in 2016 and now the ‘fuck the DNC for favoring Evolved America over us’ option."

2020.04.11: "No one but Hillary [Clinton] had any shot at that nomination in 2016 and [...] she'd have been The One this time if Bernie had stepped back and endorsed her instead."

2020.04.16: "So... [Hillary Clinton is] the one who... WON. Twice. By decisive margins, both times. Enacted ACTUAL policy, installed two Supreme Justices and will have [Barack Obama's] photo on the mantles of millions of American families' homes for generations as a totem of tangible achievement?"

2020.04.27: "One of the few [...] reasons [...] to be [...] 'excited' for Hillary [Clinton] was […] a not-insubstantial part if [sic] her was *itching* for an excuse to rain hell's fury […] We're WAY overdue for that."

2020.05.13: "Hillary [Clinton]'s proposals of 'Teaching people whose blue collar jobs were made obsolete by technology to code [...]' was [...] among the reasons I had FOR trusting her."

2020.10.02: "Y'all could've covered [Donald Trump] like an impending disaster in 2016 instead of acting like 'Hillary's emails' [...] were real stories instead."

2020.12.03: "[Hillary Clinton] wouldn't have rolled over for Red State Governors letting their states turn into Masque of The Redneck Death orgy parties because 'Muh Freedumbs!'"

Z is definitely more his speed. The fights just become mindless pummelings filled to the brim with energy blasts. The Budokai Budokai Tenkaichi tournaments of the original DB at least had a good amount of actual martial arts fighting, strategy, and only used energy attacks sparingly until the Goku vs. Piccolo bout. They don't have the feeling of a big superhero throwdown at all so that would explain why he isn't that into them despite the fact that any competent studio could easily do a movie based around one of the tournaments.

Should also not that Dragon Ball (OG Dragon Ball) is also something of lost media. It only aired in full once on Cartoon Network and never got rerun. And while it was released on DVD, they have largely fallen out of print IIRC and become old shames for the now hyper woke Funimation; to the point that whenever say, Wal-Mart does a promotion for the Dragon Ball franchise DVD catalog, they always omit it from what they send to sell for those promotions (to the point that you can find the now no longer canon Dragon Ball GT easier than you can OG Dragon Ball).

I get it that it's Bob's career to overthink Pop Culture, but it's really absurd to think The Munsters served any kind of commentary on immigrants or culture clashes.

The joke is they're a family made up of parodied Universal Horror Monster. They're only somewhat a Jewish family because Grandpa Munster was played by an ethnically Jewish man the Late Al Lewis. There's no Romanian or Astro-Hungarian references made concerning the Munsters.

It's like saying The Addams Family served as a commentary with the Addams representating bourgeois Americans and they're incompatible with the middle/working class. No it's a funny family who are comically macabre.

Technically there was an immigrant undercurrent to the Munsters, at least post TV show/Munster Goes Home attempts at rebooting them.

In the mid 90s. Fox infamously tried to do a reboot of the Munsters with a plot that was straight out of the lunatic left's playbook in that they made it a metaphor for the lunatic left's attempt to kill the GOP's attempt to pass a bill against illegal immigrants around 1994-1995. IIRC the pay-off to the whole thing was the reveal that the politician behind it was a secret Munster (Marilyn's dad) and that his second wife IIRC, used dark magic to make him normal looking and pumped him full of mind control serum to make him anti-illegal immigrant due to her being the real power behind the anti-illegal movement.

Similarly, the failed Mockingbird Lane reboot was an attempt, IIRC by gay SJW Bryan Fuller, to turn Munsters into an overtly anti-white suburb and would have amped up the metaphor of the Munsters being illegals/minorities "invading white american safe spaces".

Goku being a deadbeat is funny to an American audience, but the original Japanese audience see him as an overly permissive doting father. It's a cultural thing: in Japan dad works 12 hour days to keep food on the table then spends another 2-4 hours hanging out with his coworkers and boss at the bar. He sees his kids on his days off and even then he's not exactly warm and cuddly. This, of course, is lost on idiots like Bob who don't actually look into these foreign cultures.

Not exactly. Goku being a kind of a crappy dad was one of the reasons why Super went hard onto the notion of Goku being a horrible piece of shit person and father, on par with monster dads like Stan Smith, Peter Griffin, and Homer Simpsons.

Goku doesn't have a job and IIRC lives solely off of charity from Bulma, his tournament winnings at the end of DB, and his father-in-law's blood money, who was a god-damn mass murdering barbarian who only retired when one of his victims set fire to his house with motherfucking Hellfire so he could never step foot in it again.

Granted, Chi-Chi's even worse and it's stongly implied that Goten is her favorite, even though she doesn't give a shit about his education or well being after getting her way and turning Gohan into a sniveling academic who inevitably gets drunk with power during fights and tortures his opponents, allowing them to beat him up when he's on the cusp of victory (something Piccolo outright tells Gohan in Super).

Even Vegeta's a better dad than Goku, and he's a perpetual sourpuss who goes around looking like a spousal abuser during family outings.

Hell, you could probably make a case that Gohan only came out as good as he did purely due to Piccolo's "tough love" style training and even then, got far the fuck away from Goku when he got married.

You were not exaggerating at all.

No, we like The Addams Family for the same reason we like The Grinch or The Joker. Here's one of Charles Addams greatest cartoons.

There's no political message here, the joke is simple: Christmas Carolers are annoying here's a family about to dump boiling oil on them. They're silly anti-heroes and most people like the characters because most have some dark sense of humor.

The Addams and Munsters could be set in any culture. Libfag Arts Major Bobby thinks everything is a polemic.
There technically could be decent academic discussion on the Adam s Family given that there are three distinct incarnations of them and a horribly broken fanbase over which one is the "definitive" version. The original New Yorker cartoons, the 60s TV show (which is the standard bearer and which the general public thinks of when they think of the Adams family due to it being where ALL of the tropes associated with them came from), and the two movies from the 90s, of which the first one drew from the New Yorker cartoons and the second one, which was more or less an extended version of the TV show.

And indeed, it's why all attempts at a revival for the Adams family has failed: the 60s cartoon is what everyone wants, not the New Yorker cartoon version; the TV show was the one which canonized Uncle Fester as the wacky neighbor, the side characters (Thing and Cousin It), and Gomez and Morticia having a mad passionate romance and perfect marriage.

You could make the case that the 90s movies gave us the definitive version of Wednesday Adams, but everything people love about the Adams Family came from the TV show and it's chief appeal was how the TV show basically treated the "spooky" characters as normal, to the point that you would have stories in the TV show where dysfunctional outsiders would sing the Adams Family's praises when discussing how well adjusted and good the family was compared to their own and those around them

I mean no? Super went in on him having to worry about money because Z kinda left off there. Nothing really about him being a shit Dad. But the money thing was fair game because it ended with a lot of talk about how they ever make ends meet. Also, wouldn't say that Goten is a particular favorite of Chi Chi's. Anymore than Gohan really. And only gets protective because that is what she has always done.

Anyways on Topic Bob is still too stupid for Dragon Ball

If this is powerleveling, I don’t care, it’s romantic. When my now-husband proposed to me, he said he wanted to love me like Gomez loves Morticia.

This is why my husband enthusiastically gets touched by a woman and Blob does not.
I mean do you want Moviebob to say that to you? I could arrange some money or more likely a 6 pack and a princess peach body pillow to get him to say that to you.

Holy shit and Goku very much a semi-retarded buffoon when you seriously contemplate the character. My memory needs a jumpstart as it has been decades since I watched any part of the Dragon Ball saga and even then it was reluctantly because I saw the show (Z in particular) as tedious, but wasn't Goku illiterate in the OG Dragon Ball? The guy is essentially a flying brick with the intelligence to match. He has no marketable skills other than "he fights stuff." One of the reasons why I found the Death Battle fights between him and Superman satisfying to watch is because of how much of a piece of shit Goku is. Fuck, I laughed when Goku punched Supes into the sun. Honestly, I don't know how anyone could truly compare the characters. Superman is an altruistic character with a defined mission while Goku is a selfish prick motivated by his desire to fight the strongest opponents.

Hell, Superman was a much better father until Bendis got his hooks in the character and let his wife and son run off with his mentally unstable father.

I wonder if any comparisons to Malcolm in the Middle would apt as well. Your description of Chi-Chi's parenting style somewhat reminds me of Lois and Goku is inept a father as Hal was.
