Should also not that Dragon Ball (OG Dragon Ball) is also something of lost media. It only aired in full once on Cartoon Network and never got rerun. And while it was released on DVD, they have largely fallen out of print IIRC and become old shames for the now hyper woke Funimation; to the point that whenever say, Wal-Mart does a promotion for the Dragon Ball franchise DVD catalog, they always omit it from what they send to sell for those promotions (to the point that you can find the now no longer canon Dragon Ball GT easier than you can OG Dragon Ball).

I managed to get the original DB run in its entirety on DVD without too much of a hassle a couple of years ago. Looks things might have gotten worse since then.

Sometimes, I think editors who want to "wind the clock" back on their properties are that way because they're afraid to manage those properties out into the uncharted waters of the present and future.

Since 1966 - 1986 happened at DC and Marvel once before, then surely you can do it again, risk-free? Just use the same stuff, same characters and plots you were using "back then" with only the thinnest coat of fresh paint to convince the fans it's still "new".

In essence, I think it's their fear of failure and inability to man up and lead that makes them pine for reliving times that already came in comics- you know how it will play out. You take no chances you might upset someone if you're using already proven plots and characters that got the sales back in the day. Right?


And the current crashing of comics is because that fear of risk is running up against demands to make major changes for diversity's sake, and the mashup of those two conflicting directives creates the modern worthless woke comic?

They're, in essence, cowards with low self-esteem, and they hide it, clumsily, through never taking a risk with the left hand while furiously virtue masturbating with the right?

I honestly agree with your theory. I went through the same process when I was younger.

I’m gonna power level here and give a short description of my experiences as a writer.

When I use to write on FanFiction.Net, I used to write nothing but hero stories; Naruto, Percy Jackson, Young Justice, etc. But as I got older, I started to get bored with writing my stories. I did the same types of stories because everyone else did it and they were having success with their stories.

Eventually I realized that I was never going to get anywhere if I kept writing fanfiction. So I stopped and focused on coming up with my own ideas.

The point is, I know what it’s like to have low self-esteem and wanting to be successful at something you love. However to be truly successful you have to do unusual things and take exceptional risks. You know, step out of your comfort zone and explore other possibilities.
