Bob doesn't understand that bullies have personality disorders, either organic or acquired through "nurture" (or a little of column A, a little of column B), and that this phenomenon transcends political alignment. Bullies exist on the right, left, and everywhere in between. It is NOT a function of being "right-wing", it's a function of narcissism and entitlement (I should know, I got bullied by overt leftists in school a LOT and never bullied anyone myself - and I didn't get bullied for being "right wing", I got bullied because I was a fucking undiagnosed autist that had no idea what I was doing wrong socially). Even now I wouldn't dream of bullying anyone either by my own hand or by vicarious government policy. Bob is both a) Left wing (at least now) and b) an entitled Narcissist, so it figures that he engaged in bullying as well. Just what government policy does Bob consider "bullying" anyway? Not letting hotdogs have abortions?

Bob's concept of "bully the proto-nazis first" is just going to create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I do find it interesting that Bob can keep the mask from slipping long enough in a RL situation to have people thinking he's this niiiiiice guy that's pleasant to be around (probably doesn't hurt that the people saying this also agree with Bob politically, so it's easier for him and they can bond over AOC thirst). That's a function of narcissism too. They're really good at putting out a front in order to look good. Problem with Bob is, he obviously can't hold up that facade long enough to keep any woman interested in him.

I don't think Disney will outright cancel the MCU, more like slowly devote less and less budget and attention to the movies over time. Reminds me of an old webcomic I used to read, an isekai before the genre became trendy. The setting was a strategy game, with an autocensored chat so every time the protagonist swore he said said "boop". At one point he swears reflexively while walking through post-battle carnage and then stops ask the sky "What's your problem with swearing? (Gestures at the burned and mangled corpses around him.) You're fine with this kind of obscenity."

I'm suddenly amused that a world in keeping with Bob's mindset was used as a damaged reality that needed a Hero From Another World to try fix it.

I was watching Michael Malice interview Blair White and Blair said something that made me think of Bob. Specifically, it regarded how liberals love to push the narrative that trans kids are so at risk of suicide that they need to be allowed to transition medically, no questions asked, and never questioned. Blair said she’s never been suicidal and (paraphrase) “it’s a good thing, considering how liberals are okay with being vicious to a trans person if they have the wrong politics.”

Consider how Bob decries everything from (imagine sneer quotes around each of these) transphobia, racism, sexism, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, etc. until a trans person, woman, minority, gay person, or anyone else dares to defy the liberal conventional wisdom. Then he piles on with personal attacks, no holds barred, complete with his favorite emojis. And we all know he’s only comfortable throwing those insults against people he’s sure he’ll never encounter in person.
