A review of one of his games that I found in the links provided said:
After trying to give the developers a chance, after trying to see the beauty in the most underrated and flamed developers that are only known on steam, after trying to be friend with them and even support their game with positive thread on forum saying it deserves more attention and less hate than it already have, despite all their horrible reputation, infamousness, bad critique, I've only learned that they are still just hideous, selfish, careless and spoiled ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s they always were that will ban you from discussion board if you ask to fix the certain game issues; probably lying a lot too as they tried to convince me that Jim Sterling blamed them for things that "they didn't do", as they said... Don't even bother buying this, this game is unstable as hell, and will probably crash before the game even start.

A well deserved dislike.

The "interview" is where things get good, but here's an overview and vid links. There are call outs of him banning people on his games Steam forums for pettiness, as well as threatening Jim with lawsuits for being a big mean, poo-poo head.

These videos are all Jim, but that's mostly due to the developer focusing directly on to him. Most of the developers text crazy can be found on the Steam forums.
Initial contact. Jim does one of his regular first impressions. Here I'm linking the 7 video playlist of Jim's responses.

-- Jim does what he does and that's first impressions and commenting.
-- Developer gets salty and responds with a "review the reviewer" vid.
-- Jim responds and laughs.
-- Developer uses YT to pull the video down and threatens a lawsuit, and Jim has to wait for the time limit to end.
-- Jim then uploads over two hours of The Slaughtering Grounds gameplay to mock the developer.

In the meantime, the developer is also on his Steam forums banning people and even made a thread asking people to bash him for Steam Keys for his awful abominations.

The video is 1:38:08 long, but it is worth it to hear the stupidity coming out of Robert's mouth. It's pretty amazing. The man doesn't know the first thing about fair use, copyright, the law or game development. I believe the "interview" says more than anything and covers most of what is said in the several hours of video.

Like many good lolcows, he has an over-inflated ego and cannot even follow his own train of thoughts nor arguments, and contradicting himself several times over, all while trying to act like a prosecutor from L.A. Law.

What an unmitigated douche! He's supposed to talk about the game and defend the game instead spends most of the time trying to insult the interviewer and coming off like he's just a humorless asshole.
 
Holy shit, these guys made that Devils Share game! That game looked so, so broken and apparently they added a "silly mode" to it to... I dunno, justify its shittiness?

Because at least then it would be entertaining. (How do you break what's already broken?)

By the way, it's only $0.19 on Steam.

This probably earns him sales. His games would not even be noticed otherwise, now marks will buy them to see "if it's really that bad". While I'm sure many will have their fun and refund it before the two hour mark, a good enough chunk will either go past that number or simply forget.
 
It's interesting. These guys are the Len Shaner of game dev. It's all there. Jim Sterling is their Pocket Sand. He better be careful, because they have some Inform Ants that tell them that Jim is the real asset flipper here. They've assembled a ball team of game industry lawyers to take him down, and let me tell you they are some heavy hitters! They even have a bunch of other developers that are totally not them to confirm their story.

I have been falsely accused of:
  • Stealing artwork - This was proven multiple times

  • Stealing assets - Also proven, even if they were store-bought. Not exactly frowned upon.

  • Flipping projects with no work put in - Do I even need to say it?

  • Doxing

  • Had products misrepresented with intention to do damage - You promoted these things as "games", they are barely as such.

  • Of illegally using another companies name - Proven. Used the name of a small game dev from Poland that had to be retconned.

  • Conducting illegal business activities

I've been impersonated, and my name has been dragged through the mud not only by the individual being sued but by some of the over three hundred thousand of his subscribers who come to my game forum pages and other locations and say things such as this:
  • You're wife is a whore

  • You're a thief

  • You're a fraud

  • You're a scammer

  • I hope you die in a fiery car crash

  • If you show up at gaming convention XXX I will beat you down

  • You're shady

  • You're company impersonates other company's

  • You need to **** off, get off of this system (where we do business)

  • You will be made an example of

  • I feel sorry for your kids having such an incompetent parent

So all I'm seeing here are a bunch of generic "troll" quotes and truths that DH fails to accept and work on. But still... :stress:

I recently received a pile of feces in the mail and someone contacted the Jehovah's witnesses website to have them pay me a visit. This is funny to some of these individuals involved. Nobody on this end thought it was funny when attributed to the damage and harassment being performed.

We survived initial onslaughts of these attacks barely and were just about to break through when the false statements obliterated us, decreasing our income to 1/10th normal and destroying 2x and 3x consequetive quartly increases.

SURE you were about to break through and become successful with your "games." It was just as much of a chance as Revolution 60 being released on Steam.

A lot of the individuals following the defamer of our case are competitors and upcoming competitors in our market place. These people harass not only ourselves but dozens of others attempting to start their own business with thousands of hours of hard work.

If you are one of the individuals who has been harassing me on a regular basis or posting defamatory statements and wondering why there is little to no response anymore it's because I have been busy building case files on all said statements.

There currently flooding great light with titles.
Mostly its the same basic space invaders type shooter but with asset and perspective changes.
Basically selling games in 3rd person and a top down "sequel".

They want over $10 million dollars in combined reputation and punitive damages for their shit?! Are they that fucking dense? They had to have just pulled a bunch of numbers out of their ass, because anyone who as seen their games can assure you; they were nowhere near a multi-million dollar brand.

Also $4.3 million for being triggered by people on the internet. :story:
