I don't know if this is necro'ing but you're all probably familiar with Ruben Sim and all of his accounts were banned recently, because Roblox gave him VC and while talking he and a bunch of other devs swore. The devs haven't been banned. I think Ruben is being a little bit of a crybaby and it's time for him to jump ship, but here's someone getting high to celebrate... And also crying about getting swatted.

They seem to be focused on start ups and businesses which are involved in the technology scene, just from looking over a couple of Google searches I saw that they were involved with a lawsuit with Atari and TEESPRING, plus a few others. [archive]

Anthony specializes in "DMCA / Copyright, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Wiretap Act, the Stored Communications Act and consumer protection and privacy laws". He's also referred to as Tony quite a lot and apparently he also goes by Antonio Weibell.

We know Ruben famously exposed a developer for following a pornography account on his twitter. As a result, he never got fired nor was there ever any response for it. Call me a schizo, but I unironically believe this man pissed off the wrong people and is now being targeted by tech companies.

The Roblox Corporation is suing controversial Roblox content creator Benjamin Robert Simon, better known online as Ruben Sim, for leading a “cybermob” that they say terrorizes the Roblox platform and its developers. Roblox lawyers filed the lawsuit Tuesday in a California court, alleging that Simon “commits and encourages unlawful acts designed to injure Roblox and its users.”

Roblox is looking for $1.6 million in damages.

Simon has a long history with the Roblox platform, from which he’s been banned for several years. He continues to access the platform, however, by “hacking” and using accounts created by other people. He was banned, originally, for harassing users and using racist and homophobic slurs, as well as for sexual harassment and uploading photos of Adolf Hitler, Roblox’s lawyers said. Some of this content is uploaded to his YouTube and Patreon channels, where he makes money from them, they said.

But most recently, Roblox lawyers said Simon posted “terrorist threats” that temporarily shut down the Roblox Developers Conference in San Francisco in October.

That's literally it. It's Roblox taking a joke too seriously and shutting down their event temporarily, The guy has been fucking with them for years, and now they are suing him for something he didn't even do.

Going to chime back in on this thread. I think Null or someone else with access to Lolcow & Lolcow LLP should create a thread about the case between Ruben and Roblox. This is honestly one of the dumbest internet lawsuits I've seen online, and it's being propelled by a multinational corporation. (Video related)

The "terroristic threat" accusation can be thrown out of the window completely.
Here's a short timeline of events:
On the Thursday during RDC 2021, Ruben posted this tweet about "Julius Al Mohammed". Then on Friday afternoon, the tweet was autodeleted.
Friday night, a guy named Gato Sexo, who has stated he was not even affiliated with Ruben, posted the actual shooting threat, which caused RDC 2021 to be postponed on Saturday.
So how could've Ben/Ruben's Julius tweet caused RDC to shut down if it was already deleted by the time it was postponed?

It is absolutely desperate that they're trying to tie all of these based shitposters together by calling them a "Cybermob".
If this went down anywhere but in California, the court wouldn't take any of these allegations seriously.
