If memory serves he began to work on going sober after the DFE, I quit regularly keeping up with everything in the Rogueosphere after that so I have no idea how things went for him in regards to this, I hope it worked out though cause while yeah he was a piss-ass drunk 99% of the time and easily peer pressured into doing really self destructive shit he always came off as a really genuine and fairly good natured guy overall.

Doesn't help when you have a fan on the farms sending out of context screenshots to mods. I can't tell if that was simple zealotry gone a wrong or were they actually trying to get their man to act up on stream for entertainment.

He showed up for a little while on stream 100 and sent in superchats on another, so he’s still around. Like someone else said he’s cut back on his drinking and from what I’ve heard he’s got a pretty busy job. He mentioned that he’s gonna come back to being a semi-frequent guest again but as Rogue has said before he doesn’t always follow through on his promises. So we’ll see.

At the end of the day the important thing to remember is the farms is a gossip forum. You should never take anyone at their word. Shooting the shit is fun, and gossiping in the point. But if it doesn't have screenshots it should be taken with a grain of salt. Hell there are things I saw in his server that I won't mention in this thread because I don't have the evidence I'd want to see to believe it. I would have imagined this was common knowledge but apparently I misjudged the intelligence of a guy who pays his bills by reading the CWCki. Honestly, that's probably my fault.

The saddest part is an obvious joke was interpreted literally. Either the person who DMed Rogue didn't give him a screenshot or he's literally too retarded to spot jokes. Pick your poison.

Especially if you're an outsider looking in, not immersed in the board culture. This is true of every online (or indeed offline) community, but the Farms' status as an info resource makes it even more important to not just grab an errant comment and run with it.

There's a lot of good info here. But everyone should be forced to read a plagued thread start to finish as their initiation. If you walk away from that experience taking everything on the farms seriously without a critical thought you should be thrown out.
