UN Ron Paul tweets out racist Wyatt Mann cartoon (Ben Garrison Strikes Again) - Reality continues to crumble as long dead 4chan memes return to harvest salt from the living

Former politician and presidential candidate Ron Paul shared a racist political cartoon featuring stereotypical caricatures of people of multiple races Monday morning — only to delete it minutes later.

“Are you stunned by what has become of American culture?” Paul’s tweet read. “Well, it’s not an accident. You’ve probably heard of ‘Cultural Marxism,’ but do you know what it means?”

Attached to the original tweet was a Ben Garrison political cartoon featuring racist caricatures of Jewish, Asian, Latino and black people with their arms melding together into a single red fist emblazoned with the communist hammer and sickle. The arm is seen punching Uncle Sam, and above it is a speech bubble coming from the four caricatures saying “cultural Marxism.”

Paul delete the tweet soon after posting it at 11:10 AM EST — but not before Twitter users screenshotted it. He re-posted the same text and link to a Facebook post with an ex-out symbol over the words “political correctness” in all caps.

Basically Ron Paul tweeted this out an hour ago

He deleted it after only a few minutes but had already been screencapped to hell and back and predictably its causing a rare bipartisan REEEEEEEEEE mob on tweeter, and as the article linked demonstrates, ben garrison is once again being unironically blamed for it all.

I'd have respected him more if he'd have kept it up.. don't fear PCism and it dies all that faster.

I look forward to the day soon where people in high office, or failing that, aspiring to it, can say the phrase "Chinaman" again without fear of any repercussions they didn't already get from their policy stances, how about you?

What a faggot. Should've kept it up. He fucked up and should take responsibility for it.

Also could someone explain what is this cultural marxism thing supposed to be? I see that term thrown around by right-wing types on internet political discussions but I never understood its meaning.

Ron Paul will turn 83 next month. It's possible that he didn't understand the cartoon's racial implications before somebody pointed it out to him, and I'd be surprised if he is well-versed enough in fringe internet subcultures to know who 'A Wyatt Man' or Ben Garrison are.

It might be a patronizing assumption, but I suspect that this is just a more high profile example of an elderly person dropping a faux pas because they don't understand the language of the technology the younger generation uses. I know from personal experience of being around people who are roughly Paul's age that the internet is a much harder thing to adapt to if you're much older, and a lot of younger people really fail to take that into consideration. I'm willing to cut Paul some slack here for this reason alone.

I'm a big fan of Ron Paul, and this doesn't change anything.

The dude's retired, what's this going to do, fuck up his tool of a Son's chance at reelection?

This so much. How the fuck would the fucking retired 83 year old even know the fucking happy merchant meme?
The dude is great, but he's been culturally out of touch for a very long time.

Cultural Marxism refers to the ideogical spread of the communist revolution. As part of the Communist International plan of action for global revolution was/is the subversion of enemy cultures. Namely of States not part of the revolution. Communist agents set out to seize control of major cultural institutions such as movies, art, publishing etc. Once I positions of authority they are to subvert the existing culture of the non communist state.

The subversion is to take various form, but primarily it is to undermine the people's belief in their own independent existence as a nation in order to make them willing to accept the stateless and global communist utopia. To that end the Marxist agents would vilify major cultural touchstones that form the bedrock of national identity. Like traditional heroes of the nation. Take George Washington. In common cultural parlance he is the "father of the nation". Unacceptable to a communist revolutionary whose goal is a stateless global utopia where everyone is the same common worker. So instead they subvert this belief and recast his defining characteristics as being a slave owner and leader of Indian massacres. Once subverted it is easy to discard his cultural importance and knock another chunk out of the foundation of the nation state.

Cultural Marxism is thus the title to describe these sorts of activities. The people doing it now though, such as post modernists and modern artists don't really know the ideological roots of their ideas and artistic expressions in the 1920s plan of action of the COMINTERN. But they dutifully carry out the plan, even though the cause that launched them has failed and the men who sent them on their way are long since dead.

Whether he knows the Happy Merchant meme or not, even an octogenarian could tell that's a cartoon of a fellow of Semitic background.

This reminds me of some German twitter soyboy who said his wife’s son can’t tell the difference between a black and a white soccer player on his trading cards. Yeah, right. Maybe we’re all the racists here, maybe Ron just saw a bunch of AMERICANS on that cartoon, ever thought about that?

This dude is really out of touch. I think he just made a dumb post without looking or thinking. You've done it and I've done it, so of course he'll do it.
