Ironically, the worst city to be in for violent crimes in Texas is Houston, a city that leans largely democratic. You might be saying to yourself, "But Whaler, what's the second one then?" and the answer is San Antonio. A city known for shifting in two directions. It's slowly gone from Republican to Democrat while having it's violent crime rate go up. The third city is Beaumont, which is also leans heavily towards Democrats.
It says more about urban shitholes, the bug people who infest them and shitty governing.

Don't quote me on this but I think it was the backlash following her rant on that Off Topic was one of the main reasons why she quit RT.
Episode 27, I think. She was on it and I think she talks about that. She also admits to approaching her mother and begging for makeup tips to be made white.
She got handed a ridiculously easy job as head of streaming at RT because of flagrant cronyism. She should prolly be grateful to get handed such a piss easy job in such a relaxed atmosphere but instead she was the lethal dose of poison that started RTs slow death.

That was about a year after she left, during the Saint Floyd peaceful fiery protests. Anything to not be lynched by the audience of wolves they cultivated for themselves.
It wasn't the backlash to her rant, but it was the fact RT never had her back or supported her. They basically shrugged their shoulders and told her "sux4u tell your dad we said hi."
RT hired her simply because of who her father was. In Micas defense (can't believe I'm saying that) she admitted to feeling uncomfortable being put in that position while having no idea or experience in it which further pushed her feelings that RT only wanted her for her fathers Hollywood connections rather than actually wanting her around.
In Mica's not defense, she could have not taken the job and it was obvious to anyone with half a brain why she was hired.
I do remember her getting some backlash because of it though, and mixed with the fact that, as you said, RT did not back her up nor support her, she quit. Rightfully so.
