@Random Internet Person Sorry I didn't see your post before writing this, I disagree that the issues with RWBY manifested after Monty's death, they were always there but they became more pronounced once the crutch of Monty's fight animation skills went away. I think that the things people criticize RWBY for these days (the lackluster characters, the shitty plot, the poor animation and voice acting, the endless padding, etc etc) are still evident and present in V1-3 but it was easier to use "Monty's vision" as an excuse to criticize them especially since the show became even more boring and filled with fluff and padding than it already was. Combine that with Monty's weirdo personality and propensity for doing all kinds of extra work (not to mention his refusal to switch to an actual animation program) that caused near constant issues for the writing and animation teams which constantly fouled up an already inefficient work flow and I don't see his continued involvement in the production going anywhere.

I don't think Etika was part of Rooster Teeth. I think they wanted him, but he turned him down and he suggested (ugh) Fiona Nova instead.

So since I've seen Kdin brought up here and there in this thread and seeing as they dont seem to really be worth their own thread. as an old fan of his let me add some things.

So essentially Kdin started out running the Tatsudoshi youtube channel where he would do solo lets plays his old lets plays were pretty good but Kdin on his own has always been insufferable and boring to listen to so he started doing collabs with his much funnier friends and doing streams with said friends in calls.

Eventually he would include his gf/future wife Spazzy in his lets plays. Then Spazzys brother Corn&Bourbon (aka Tony) Spazzy and Corn (especially Corn) carried every lets play Kdin ever did so much in fact that they also used to have their own website where they would do stuff like food reviews.

So fast forward and Kdin and Spazzy are finally getting married they had a my little pony themed wedding since spazzy and kdin were both very big into mlp and the whole brony craze back then. however just as soon as it happened Kdin and Spazzy broke up spazzy pretty much vanished from the internet only showing up once or twice to defend herself.

Kdin was claiming she was the one who caused the break up which could be true as people have said she was cheating on him though I have also heard it was the other way around and it was actually Kdin who cheated on Spazzy with her best friend Yuri aka val aka kdins second wife.

Either way once Kdin and Spazzy broke up he burned the whole youtube channel to the ground first just getting rid of every video that had Spazzy in it. for a bit he tried doing lets plays with just Corn but it always felt really awkward like Corn did not really wanna be there. during this odd area of time kdin moved to texas with Sugar the dog he gave Spazzy for her birthday and Spazzys now ex best friend Val (who he would later propose to in the already posted youtube video) together Kdin and Val would attempt to do their own lets play channel .

Now that the original Tatsudoshi youtube channel was entirely nuked they could start again, and of course just like with the old stuff Val was the more entertaining one and in time Kdin ended up getting Corn to live with him and val and they started to do lets plays together. however Kdin was upset that his videos were not getting many views so he nuked the channel and quit lets playing forever his reason being it was impossible to get views so he just gave up and focused more on his stuff at AH.

As far as the trooning out is concerned thats all Vals fault combined with Kdins immense need to always be popular or at least feel that way. Val was im pretty sure a troon as well or at least big into using male pronouns despite not being a male. then before ya know it the Kdin we know now was born. other than that I dont really know much else other than there was rumors amoungst Kdins old friends he used to collab with in lets plays that him and Val were essentially abusing Spazzys former dog Sugar by feeding her constantly till she got massively overweight and could barely even walk on her own.

I also recall something about him and Val actually breaking up as well and now hes dating the person who created his vtuber avatar. he was also known for doing collabs with people and never once giving them any credit not even bothering to shout out or link their channels or anything.

Long story short Kdins just one of those people thats willing to do pretty much anything to be unique or special while also being famous. he used to always talk about how his dad who he used to idolize but now hates because they dont approve of Kdins troon adventures. Was some famous drummer in some band but would never mention the band. theres other bits and pieces I very faintly remember from back then but aside from Kdin and Spazzy both being very fond of saying slurs most of its not worth mentioning.
