I was watching their YDYD season 2, it’s real funny and sums it up real well in the first 5 minutes. Their minecraft videos used to be good (IMO) cause of AH city and it was always them adding to or doing an idea in the city. Like it was always expanding and evolving, after 200 episodes they really had built a massive world full of ideas and fun times.

but do some tech issues they kind of lost AH city. While I think AH city can be recovered and they are just technically illiterate. They kept the series going into PC with sky factory cause the core idea was “build a world from nothing” and they made it fun cause they sucked at the game.

I could keep going on chronologically but to sum up where they are now, Ryan used to be the tech guy who setup servers, I think they now have lost their PC replacement of AH city.

Jack for the past couple of years has been doing minecraft on twitch in his personal time and learnt how to host servers with mods.

with no Ryan it seems Jack has sperged out and tried to become the minecraft leader and is booting up these realms and trying to force the AH crew into the way he plays minecraft on twitch. Which is kind of boring, it’s like watching a person build a lego Death Star.

AH are idiots and chucking them into minecraft and forcing them to “play the game how it’s meant” means no funny. You can see it on stone block when you are meant to spend the first 20 hours alone grinding shit.

Minecraft and GTA are open world games and they used to create fun and dumb games and things to do inside them that mixed with their chaotic shenanigans as a group of friends ended up being entertaining.

But the group has changed, you can’t repair it with new hires. It was lighting in a bottle, it kept going when the group was expanded with Jeremy and Matt but with out core personalities gone the magic is lost and they need to figure out something new for the group they now have.

I know for a fact that fans have recreated every single city AH built so long as the construction wasn't a secret or never recorded. I also know they offered those worlds on PC to AH so they could switch platforms.

The AH community actually already has, its a relplica so its not perfect but they have done it and its online right now, you have to get them to white list you so you can go play but they have it.
