Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

Well, yeah, she's nicer than people here, but most of the internet is. I meant more nasty from the tranny POV.
They need more of that, though.

If being simply told the truth is so terrible to them, well, there's something seriously wrong with them, and it's that they need even MORE of the truth.

Perhaps troons experience far more visceral hatred for TERFs than for right wingers because TERFs make a reasonably good case for being anti-troon from a left-wing point of view.

Troons want to pretend that all opposition to their degeneracy, to their nonsense, comes exclusively from the right, and especially from the left's eternal boogymen, that being nazis and fascists.

The mere existence of TERFs like JK Rowling is itself a rebuttal to that assumption, and they can't stand that. They wish to associate gender-critical (or even anti-degeneracy) ideas to cartoonishly evil supervillans like nazis, fascists, and Bush era neocons, not left-wingers who can nevertheless see through the bullshit.

Another reason why TERFs are such a thorn in their side is because of the woke left's efforts to conflate feminism with things like pornography, "sex work," casual public toplessness /nudity, or being "sex positive" in general. They wanted to trick women into believing that such things were empowering.

For at least a sizable minority of self-proclaimed feminists to not only spurn such things, but also to openly mock their other sacred cow, that being gender-bending fetishism, is an especially strong gut-punch.

Isn't feminism somewhat obsolete in the current age?

Feminism will always be necessary for the same reason a nation doesn't disband its army once the immediate threat is gone. And I don't mean this in an antagonistic sense - there are still areas of life where women are overlooked not because men are twirling their mustaches and plotting how best to screw over the skirts, but because men are human and human beings tend to weigh their own problems more heavily than they weigh the problems of others. My papercut hurts me more than your amputated arm hurts me, basically. And if men are the predominant demographic deciding where to allocate funds, they will fund things which appeal most to themselves.

One example of modern feminist action would be the push to get more female test subjects for medicine. Most animal and human test subjects are male, and as a result women are more likely than men to experience negative side-effects from medication. Making sure medications are tested on female animals and humans means that women - regardless of political affiliation - will benefit. Solid feminism, nary a drop of man-hating in sight. Retards on social media are retarded, but that doesn't mean there's nothing left for western women to agitate for. And before anyone gets their balls twisted, yes I believe men have the same right.

They are used to debating against Christians on sex related issues. This time the religious folks have science on their side. Who knows how that could have happened? Priests are grounded in material reality on the issue while “scientists” are claiming the power to transubstantiate.

She's making herself look rather nasty and it's at the very least "bad optics". She's losing the moral high ground as generally pleasant person vs seething troons.
Being pleasant isn't the objective.

Her behaviour on Twitter demolished the Scottish speech control law in about a day, and she's helping make it socially acceptable for others to be honest in public about their opinions of trannies.

Rowling is effective. That's why the troons are doing so much entertaining seething at her.

This might have been an arguable position before the concept that men should just be able to declare themselves women and then wander around in little girls' bathing spaces, identify themselves as children, and otherwise obviously just be open diddlers, using "transgender" as their reason for being able to do that.

In the middle of a recent Warhammer podcast, one of the hosts says "just to point out, we hate JK Rowling" after Frostgrave magic schools were compared to Hogwarts houses. Starting at around 54:45ish, you can hear the guy trying to put an end to everyone laughing and having fun for a moment. Dunno how serious Louise's "Fuck you, Joanne" was, but Rob just can't let it go:

Not trying to sperg too hard here but I will never understand how people unironically come to the conclusion that feminism magically stopped needing to exist at some point. Like what are you talking about? Unless you live in a very small town, there's probably a shelter in your zipcode dedicated to housing abused women. We have online trackers dedicated to documenting how often men annihilate their wives and families. Even in developed countries, sex trafficking is alive and well. And while the most fucked up stuff might seem far removed for a lot of people, I promise this kind of abuse is all around you. Like go take a look at statistics concerning male violence, sexual or otherwise.

And then you have the next layer of less physically abusive but outright fucked stuff women have to deal with like casually not getting hired or even getting fired because of pregnancy. And no, you're never going to make it to court and win even it's really obvious. All the acceptable casual misogyny which is how you have the trans movement take flight in the first place. And if we're looking at things globally then it's just fucked beyond measure. Women in countries who can't even conceptualize that their partner can rape them. Rape being the absolute standard for every military unit on the globe. "Do we really need feminism in the [current year]?" Roe v Wade was overturned not even two years ago LOL. It's just so fucking asinine.

And now we have a new generation of angry, porn-addicted shut-ins. It's no wonder so many young girls don't want to be perceived as female anymore.

Feminism is such a broad term and so people with very similar opinions can end up completely talking past each other when it comes to feminism.

Oh, I know. I wish more people with the amount of fame and "fuck you" money would talk shit about trannies all day, but for right now Rowling is sadly about the only one. But I hope that changes in the near future.

That was really awkward, it was like he was compelled to say it so no one got "the wrong idea"

Feminism is just too many things to be easily classified. There are feminists who claims that "transwomen are women", and that "sex work is work" and that sadomasochism is empowering. There are feminists like Laurie Penny who thinks children should be taught to look away, when transvestites expose themselves in the womens changing rooms. And feminists like Sally Hines who accuse rape victims of weaponising "white women's tears" to put black men in prison. Then you have a self proclaimed feminists like Nichola Sturgeon who locked women up with convicted serial rapist Isla Bryson, and put a troon in charge of Edinburg rape crisis center. Not all feminists are like this of course, but I think it is disturbingly many. Women deserve better.

Rolling Stone writer Miles Klee says that TRAs actually still respected J.K. Rowling a few years ago when she was just "debating gender", but now she has become a bigot who just insults trans people.

J.K. Rowling Used to Want to Debate Gender. Now She Just Insults Trans People
The once-beloved children's author seems unable to think about anything besides policing gender

“YOU’VE SEEN NOTHING yet,” tweeted Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling on Sunday. She was responding to another X user who had told her, “Your downfall is so sad,” a reaction to her continued attacks on transgender people. Rowling promised that worse was in store. “Wait til I hit rock bottom. It’s going to be spectacular,” she wrote.

This prediction, and much of what Rowling has said of late, are altogether in keeping with what denizens of X (formerly Twitter) refer to as “Meltdown May,” a month-long season when, for whatever reason, online personalities seem more inclined to self-destructive behavior. Yet for Rowling this is just the next stage of a mounting extremism that has come to overshadow her groundbreaking writing career.

Since 2018, Rowling has shown an affinity for anti-trans influencers and helped to stoke panic over changing norms around gender identity and language. Notably, she used to couch her criticism in a “live and let live” frame, cautioning that while she had no problem with trans individuals per se, she feared that trans women posed a privacy and safety risk to cisgender women in female-only spaces. When defending a U.K. researcher whose employment contract was not renewed at a think tank after her online anti-trans activism came to light in 2019, Rowling still prefaced her supportive tweet by saying that people should dress and identify however they want while living their “best life in peace and security.” In 2020, she claimed to “know and love trans people.”

In the past year, that note of tolerance has vanished from Rowling’s public comments on trans women — and she now tweets about little else, whether proclaiming that she’d go to prison before using their correct pronouns or simply misgendering specific individuals online because she can. The recent “downfall” reply that irked her was in response to her insistence that Lucy Clark, the first openly trans soccer manager in the top English women’s divisions of the sport, is actually a “bloke.” Using her massive platform to direct hate and harassment at Clark, a woman who has done nothing but succeed professionally with the support of her family and team, struck many on social media as cruel. One of Rowling’s tweets misgendering Clark racked up more than 400,000 likes and nods of approval from far-right accounts including @EndWokeness.

These ongoing controversies have driven a wedge between Rowling and fellow creatives, including Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. Radcliffe said in an Atlantic profile published two weeks ago that it was “really sad” how he and Rowling had ceased contact in 2020, after he spoke up on behalf of the trans community because of her increasing vitriol.

Not only that, Rowling’s anti-trans tirades have worn thin with would-be allies, including Elon Musk. The owner of X — who has liked, shared, and posted plenty of transphobic material himself and is estranged from his trans daughter — was compelled earlier this month to request that Rowling lighten up a bit, despite their alignment on the issue. “While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?” Musk asked in response to Rowling’s pinned tweet from a month prior, which explained why she believes trans women pose a danger in women’s spaces. (Evidence suggests trans people are more likely to be the victims of violence than cisgender individuals.) The next day, Rowling shared an innocuous interview she’d given about her writing process, quipping that the tweet “should in no way be interpreted as me doing as I’m told.”

The respite didn’t last long, however, and Rowling posted more than 30 tweets in the next week either arguing that women’s spaces are made unsafe by trans inclusivity, deliberately misgendering trans women, or otherwise fighting with anyone who challenged her ideas on gender. This culminated with the Lucy Clark incident, which then saw Rowling escalate into a rage over accusations that she had bullied the soccer manager. “Crossdressing straight men are currently one of the most pandered-to demographics,” she fumed at one point, surely distorting the lived reality of marginalization and prejudice many trans women face. This was a bridge too far for New York magazine columnist Jonathan Chait, someone known to express his own skepticism of youth gender care. He advised Rowling, “Just call people what they want to be called. It’s basic decency.” Rowling dismissed the remark as sexist and condescending.

She didn’t stop there, however. While sparring with an X user whose bio indicates that they are 17 years old, Rowling spun out a bizarre hypothetical about whether she would “get to be black if I like Motown and fancy myself in cornrows.” The parallel drew widespread allegations of racism, with Nikole Hannah-Jones, the New York Times journalist behind the Pulitzer-winning 1619 Project, warning: “Stop using Black people as your comparison group because it almost always reveals more about you than you think it does.”

Rowling’s manic posting and deranged rhetoric, her toxic social feed (a veritable who’s who of “gender critical” types), her newfound proximity to dangerous extremists (Chaya Raichik, who runs the transphobic hate account Libs of TikTok, has lately started tagging and replying to her), her sharing of material from dubious groups such as the Gay Men’s Network (which frames “gender identity ideology” as a type of “homophobia”) and her inability to stop denouncing people like Clark as if they are misogynists and predators all point to an obsession that has only grown stronger over time. What was once a trickle of worrying hints is now a torrent of abuse.

Really, the Musk interaction says it all. If a guy who amplifies Libs of TikTok daily and genuinely believes “cisgender” is a slur thinks you need to cut back on hours spent in the fog of your anti-trans agenda, you’re already past far gone. That, alas, is often the path of the online reactionary — when your opinion receives pushback, you dig in, and the need to feel that you have vanquished all opponents becomes addictive. Soon enough, no matter your wealth or work or celebrity, there is nothing else left.
Here I was under the impression that TRAs have been hating on Rowling ever since her early TERF days when she was just liking tweets. Could it be that I was wrong all alo–

:story:Just kidding, they've been calling her a transphobic bigot since day 1 and everyone knows that including Miles. Though, unlike the historical figures TRAs have been busy retconning as trans for the last 10 years, Miles can't retcon Rowling Derangement Syndrome history as easily

This is the guy who wrote that Rolling Stone article. These obnoxious wankers all look like the were made at the same faggot factory. Thank God he will soon be unemployed and RS out of business.

I'm sure I'll get hit with some Autistics for this but protecting the sanctity of womanhood is important. The overreaction to feminism is what led to this explosion of men in dresses infiltrating every aspect of society and making it stupid.
I personally think it became a problem because 3rd wave mainstream feminism tried to be inclusive of stuff like this and dug its own grave in the process. You can bet that most normalfag self-proclaimed feminists will still coddle troons, too.

I think someone on twitter worded it well, when replying to Elon about JK being too loud and unkind:

"We can't all be tourists."

That's all the explanation you need for as to why she keeps posting. I for one welcome that she's joining the other shit posters once in a while if only for her mental health. If you take this shit too serious for too long and don't try and laugh about it from time to time, you might just fuck yourself and should definitely leave it be. I wouldn't be surprised if she had another account, but I generally enjoy the idea that she's just posting while shitting every day.

I'm just sick of people suddenly going full tone police, when #BeKind has been a literal joke tag for years. Same for years now in feminist discussions. You know how jarring it can be to discuss violence on women, femicide, etc and you're being told to be more kind because your words might make someone uncomfortable? Now I have to carefully choose my words because else people won't listen— as if my words were the issue? Not what's actually happening?but you might hurt some people's feelings and that's more important than the actual topic at hand?

I've always hated that sickly behaviour. It is sickly and it is weak. As a woman it grosses me out in men. Peak beta behaviour. General retardation for the sake of it and their own fee fees.

How do you carefully word "98% of murders are committed by men (ETA: rephrased)", how do you kindly say "since more than a decade there's been more femicides in my country than actual murders"? All of which by men? As if all discussion was over because you don't specify "not all men". As to not hurt some random guys fucking feelings. (Instead of him adressing WHY he feels so attacked. WHY do you feel attacked or enraged at what I say?)

And they'll put it on you and oh it's feminisms fault, oh if only you were more kind, oh if only you worded your complaints "correctly"— as if they're not just looking for excuses because they ran out of arguments. As if there was a way to address that correctly.

Nice hasn't gotten people shit so far. Especially women.

It's just what they expect looking at women because of how women are raised and supposed to be. Nice, sweet, accommodating. Once a woman isn't all that anymore, they get so shocked. Yeah, surprise, turns out we're our own people with our own brains and thoughts. Many of us have policed our words, looked at the tone, rephrased and reworded over and over again if only people would start listening to what we're trying to say instead of being upset about how you don't use "not all" or whatever the fuck every sentence. Fake outrage over the wrong things. As if we hadn't had that happen for fucking decades. And then you STILL get policed on fucking kiwifarms for fucks sake! The place of shitposts and women are still being told to tone it down... Can't make it up.

It does not matter how you phrase things. It matters that a person is willing to listen, else they'll find 101 reasons not to anyway. And that's what JK finally realised. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Just go full damned, we'll meet in fucking hell, share a Bunkbed. At least there'll be a party. I'm bringing shit to grill and some string lights.

The "overreaction to feminism" was a reaction to lib-feminism. The type promoted by Anita Sarkeesian, Zoe Quinn, or Justin "Riley" Dennis.

Basically, feminists whining about first world problems and complete non-issues. Feminists actively looking for silly things to be outraged over, just like christian moral guardians like Jack Thompson.

There are many things I disagree with feminists on, but if nothing else, "feminism" was not the real enemy, not even between 2013-2019. It was woke ideology, the weather underground boomers who infiltrated academia and government, and the managerial state in general. And the anti-SJWs of that era were very silly for focusing their energy on "feminism," or for lumping all of their enemies under that label.
