I will not try because I know he wrote a book about a middle aged man being victim of an unjust trial for having consensual sex with a six year old or whatever were the exact specifics of that awful book.

The Bio of a Space Tyrant books are uniquely awful, a product of Piers Anthony's politics, fetishes, and aggressive edgelordishness. It's understandable that someone might read Refugee and decide to never touch a book written by him again.

It was actually in the middle of reading one of those that I literally threw it against a wall, sold all of my Piers Anthony novels for like a buck or two, and swore off this evil bastard. I forget what actual scene, probably just some glorious celebration of rape, this goddamn creep finally exceeded my boundaries of tolerance, and I decided I could no longer even put up with the presence of a book with his name on it in my home.

Hate to say it but I'm with RPG.net about a lot of their takes regarding him. As for the Thomas Covenant books it's been too long, I remember being horrified by the scene they're talking about and finding everything thereafter a real struggle.

I'm willing to overlook any author's problems if they produce good stories, but that series was clearly just him combining his rape fantasies with his fantasies about being dictator of the United States. Gross, boring, gay.

I saw Heinlein in one of those posts, and you really can only read like 5 things of his without running into shit like girl saying she'd rather get pregnant by her own father than whatever unrelated dude they were cooped in with.
Also 99% of his short stories are boring and partially or fully based on ideas of other authors.

Yeah, I was in that too. Funny I remembered throwing one of his books against a wall but it was this rpg.net thread that reminded me exactly which book it was (I forget which Space Tyrant, maybe 4). I forget exactly which rape though because there was a fuckton of rape in those books. It was one where it just became inescapable that the motherfucker was writing it one-handed.

I hadn't read it when I linked, saw your posts and realised it had been partially pointless. Yeah, narrowing those books to just one instance of rape is near as damn impossible.

Now that's classic, pure strain RPGNet lunacy, I was looking at the same thread. The Troll Lord Games people are cool. Their products are second rate, but they are personally well meaning and friendly guys. The Chenault brothers are also Republicans out of Alabama or Tennessee, and were fairly outspoken about it when it was still allowed. However, they never made a big deal about their fans' or contributors' politics. Their main staff artist used to be an annoying as fuck liberal manchild from California.

There's actually an grain in truth with this one; although they're missing how entertainment industry slowly went from promoting the police, using them as comic relief, to being an mix of anti-cop and whatever else.

The only thing these phonies hate more than a white guy saying shit they disagree with is a black woman saying exactly the same shit. Unlike RetardEra, though, at least they don't start dropping the coon-bomb and other racial slurs immediately. It's funny they'd hate a minority member even more than a white person for disagreeing with them.
