Lol I own the book and besides the weirdly gendered stuff the rest of the problems don't exist. Like half the fucking Imperial provinces have been full of huns and swarthoids since the early 90's.

I just lol'd at that post being made on RPG.net. Mods must have creamed themselves.

As far as 4th ed goes, I feel some of the artwork looks too much like FFG or DnD. That's really my only gripe with it.

But isn't Che the hero of the new youth?

Witness him!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the warhammer world a massive shithole where xenophobia bigotry and social inequality are norms? The Empire has a more relaxed attitude towards women than our own 15th century society and better standard of living than the imperium but that's damning with faint praise to say the least.

I'd have just gone with a tyrant they're too thick to know about or has been dead too long. They're pretty shallow so they'd miss the joke.

Truly. There are no "good guys" or good factions in that game. Casual observers might assume something like the empire or high elves are the good guys, but basically every faction is teeming with xenophobia, inequality and corruption. Not just mentioning in passing like other RPG worlds, but basically forming the entire atmosphere of the setting. The goal is not to triumph, but just to survive, covered in shit and riddled with disease.

You can actually draw parallels between that and RPG.net

The good guys in Warhammer are good only in comparison to their competition. "Nicer than Cthulhu" is a fairly low bar. It's even more pronounced in 40K where the Imperium of Mankind is basically space nazis. A dude in a 1:1 replica of an SS officer uniform will shoot you in the face for questioning any of their policies, and they put skulls on everything. The thought that any of those groups would stop and say, "Oh gee, are our POCs underrepresented?" is flatly stupid.

Xenophobia in the Empire is pretty literal: the Empire is founded on the idea that humans and dwarves need to unite against everyone and everything else. The Empire's problem comes more from corrupt burgomasters, the constant politicking of the lords, and the lurking threat of Beastmen and the Undead. Warhammer Fantasy in general is a lot less Grimdark than 40k: it's aiming more for a "dark fantasy" vibe a la the Witcher series.

"Bannnnnnnn" is the sound his vibrating butt-plug makes.

lol, this really explains a lot. (Became a mod 6 years after making this thread. Probably never did leave the house again. )

Based on my experience with IBS, it's more likely a symptom of a bigger problem. So I have some sympathy. But then, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see people with psych problems turning into bullies the moment they have the upper hand.

Yeah was not so much to point and laugh at condition that Targa has, but rather making fun of how the mods carry themselves now. Like a PSA with a sunglasses wearing mascot "YO DEAL WITH IT" except without any of the friendliness and all of the fake angst.

I'm guessing his IBS gets easily triggered when handing out infractions and probably a semi.

His IBS is probably almost purely psychosomatic (is it really a coincidence that it flared up juuuuuust as he was supposed to see friends for the first time in months?). I don't think anyone should be surprised to learn RPG.net mods are haunted by a legion of psychological issues.
