RPGnet Forums

Starting to understand why so many people think Kiwifarms is full of elite black hat cybercriminals doing cybercrimes. These people can't be bothered to google someone's name+twitter as part of their due diligence. Searching for someone's (highly unique) forum username and finding personal information on the five other social media accounts they used the same username for is like black magic divination to them.

I slightly disagree. I think that they recognise doing so will cut off the site's revenue flow because they'd become something closer to an especially disturbing fanfic forum.

That this moron openly let their opinions show by outright repeating Biden's gaffe means it's got a direct link to advocating violence based off people's politics. Had they just "jokingly" started the game that might have flown but they have already made it clear who the targets are, also noting that they want to use headlines as plot ideas.
This, they know that if they don't carefully suppress violent talk on the forum people will make increasingly extreme fedposts until the admins get a visit from law enforcement, there may even be some particularly despondent nutcase on RPGNet who could be moved to do something IRL by the dialogue on the site.
...NO! dial it up to 8! RPGNet posters could be dragged off by the Trumpenwaffen...

The mod Zeea here says it plainly. Their insane userbase will burn the site down if they're allowed to freely discuss Final Solution fantasies so their only choice is to perpetually blueball the users.

I like this line of reasoning. After all, calling someone a bigot is also bigotry, and calling someone a fascist is just like hanging out with Mussolini.

So if calling someone an edition warrior is edition warring, why doesn't this shitmod ban himself?

Honestly these nutcases make even RetardEra look well run.

Engh, the poster was being a cunt and knew it, hence the “elf game” retreat. Calling someone an edition warrior for comparing hd and healing surges is like calling someone blasphemer for noting that Catholics and Protestants both use the Bible. You might have the seed of a point but your overreaction makes you retarded.

It’s dumb to ban over this but it’s RPG.net. Guy still knew he was being inflammatory on purpose over a dumb argument.

The one rule on rpgnet is you aren't allowed to talk about games.

"Edition warring" is an absolutely insanely retarded way of saying "talking about games." Talking about games necessarily involves comparing the merits of various approaches.

These faggots need to neck immediately.

I honestly don't fault them for laying down the law on actual edition warring lest you get grognards who say anything newer than AD&D is for babies getting into slapfights with role-players who say that older editions was just paperwork disguised as a game. Of course, we all know that's not what the jannies mean when they invoke “edition-warring,” which inevitably puts a lid on anything resembling constructive conversation instead of the social justice circlejerk the site is known for.

I dont know what to tell you other than you're wading into a culture you're clearly unfamiliar with. Edition warring is like console fanboy wars. Its distinct from discussing editions; its a form of autism.

This guy did the equivalent of replying to someone saying "Diablo 4 runs on PCs and Consoles" with "i didn't take you for a console warrior".

Its cuntery, pure and simple.

Simple solution: make a dedicated subforum for edition warring where grognards can shake their tugboat without making waves for the rest of the site. But then we wouldn't have a Troon Sementary where perfect order reigns.

Speaking of cementaries, how's the user statistics on rpg.net? My very old account got blocked for "security reasons."

I'm one of those grognards myself frankly. That and the Chaosium d100 (well 2d10) based systems. And some stuff like classic DQ. Okay, and Traveller too. And GURPS style systems. Although with the latter two, it's the character generation that I thought was particularly inspired. It was barely ever possible actually to get people to play GURPS because it was autistic as fuck.

"Eat the rich!"

"Ok"

"No, not like that!"

How are they such relentlessly stuffy dorks?
The Glorious People's Radical Anarcho-Communist Revolution sure does come with a lot of rules.

My guess is they're just too strongly against anything that could be perceived as cheering for political violence.

Because they don't hate the rich, they hate normal people. Now that the rich are anti-normal as well, they love the rich.

Getting into high dudgeon over the fact a drug is still available for its prescribed use while being banned from possibly dangerous usage by individuals who don't medically require them is one of the troons' more appalling tactics.
That's how they do everything.

"Only women allowed in the women's restroom."
"What you gonna have a genital check at the door?"

No, because 99% of the time it's obvious.
