Yeah, those would be the examples of people without insight. I was talking about that one guy managing a fair level of insight for his side. Not perfect insight, but I figured that it went without saying that he was still missing a lot of things.
I ended up deleting my post because I think this guy actually does kinda "get it" in a way a lot of his compatriots don't, and I missed your point a bit.
Oh yeah, it's definitely still myopic. He's basically suggesting finding a way to essentially bribe people into working with them rather than seeking common ground and understanding. Nor does he recognize that his suggestions about taking action against white supremacists and christian nationalists would be readily spun as taking action against "whites" and "christians" not against "supremacists" and "nationalists" and put people far too on guard to be cooperative.
His thought process on that is an interesting one IMO. I think that's exactly what the White House was trying to do with the way they enforced the vax mandate on soldiers. They ended up firing or court martialing every loud abstainer, especially those who claimed religious exemptions. It seemed like a targeted effort to get everyone who might be hostile to the party out of the ranks for a reason they couldn't be easily sued over.

Shitposters will always win because shitposting takes so much less time and effort. Forum posters who are all srs bsns are bad enough, but when you also have mods like that - well, you get RPGNet and ResetEra, among other places. You may not take part in fun unless they've sufficiently vetted it, and their personal biases and the sticks up their asses definitely come in to play. That's how you get forums for fun hobbies like gaming turning into cesspits of woke sanctimony, or in ResetEra's case how they start that way and only get worse.
Yeah it's legit kind of entertaining to watch them finally get in the right ballpark of finally getting it, and then still fail.
With this attitude is it any wonder these people regularly get fleeced by various predators?
