Yup. Even ResetEra is on Depp's side, but RPGnet was always going to #believeallwomen, exactly because of that post essentially dismissing the idea of bad faith accusations and still wanting people to apologise even if it is a false claim.

This might be where ResetEra's intersectionality wars involving actual black people differs from RPGnet only having white people virtue signalling how not racist they are. Troons and woke POC hate white cis women so can hate one freely, while the former roleplayers just see woman vs. man and the people they let do the thinking for them have written their pro-Heard nonsense, so evidence and sense be damned, women can only be victims.

Probably. It pretty much has gone the way of "fuck", where people don't always use it to mean engaging in sexual intercourse. RPGnet jannies have always been the glass half problematic type of people.

It kind of makes me wonder how old he was. How old are most of the moderators, even? It always seemed to me like the average age of the forum's powerusers was much older than the internet in general.

Shame. As an RPG.net moderator in the current age he was likely a bit of an ass but that's amazingly far from the bar needed for "deserved to to die." Hope his family and friends are managing okay through it.

Having someone with "pretty face up in space" in their bio announce it feels incredibly tacky though. I'd probably have a generic account for shit like that. Or when they have to get rid of yet another rapist validated user.

42, if the info I found in my initial dox was accurate. You are correct that the diehard regulars skew older than expected, I think in past polls they've done most posters are somewhere between mid/late 40s and late 50s. Younger than 30 is a definite minority.

Yeah, rpg.net at least has the decency to discourage grave-dancing so I can return that courtesy. I hope his family is alright and he didn’t deserve to go out like that.

The moderation will be marginally better, however. This is the guy who was stanning Lorraine Williams because something something muh soggy knees.

The passing of Save-vs-DM is sad from a humanitarian perspective -- any man's death diminishes me, for I am part of mankind, to use the quote -- but at the same time, that memorial thread had the line of 'he always seemed a stable presence on the boards'. Really? As compared to what?

Sigh. Condolences to his family, but I hope RPGnet burns down sooner rather than later.
