As an enthusiastic blacksmith and wagoner who has been taken there by his skills and training, I too deserve a living wage. It's not my fault that the market has moved on from horse-carts, and rather than to expect me to work something else for a living and follow my passion as a hobby if at all, I deserve to be subsidized.

I think Heinlein said it best, regarding the value of labor.
Of course, the Marxian definition of value is ridiculous. All the work one cares to add will not turn a mud pie into an apple tart; it remains a mud pie, value zero. By corollary, unskillful work can easily subtract value; an untalented cook can turn wholesome dough and fresh green apples, valuable already, into an inedible mess, value zero. Conversely, a great chef can fashion of those same materials a confection of greater value than a commonplace apple tart, with no more effort than an ordinary cook uses to prepare an ordinary sweet.

Pro-choice or not he's right. When any dissent, no matter how minor, gets you labeled a fascist and a nazi it not only kills any goodwill and willingness to extend the benefit of the doubt you might have had, it heightens the odds of you going full "fuck it, if I'm going to get called a nazi anyway, I might as well start shopping at hugo boss."

In a bit of happenstance, I managed to find a trail leading to some new info on one of the jannies, Miss Atomic Bomb, who recently tempbanned someone for "denying racism".

In the "RPG Sales and Steals" thread, a user namedrops Miss Atomic Bomb as one of the authors of a bundle.

The thing I read was that they used (at the time) ongoing LGBT Chechen oppression to worldbuild and it was poor PR that caused it to be restructured and subsumed. ( Link | Archive )
