So what's the mods reaction to what happened in Nashville with the FtM killing 6 people, 3 of whom were 9 year olds?

They deserved it for believing in Jesus and troons are the real victims, as always. So what's the mods reaction to what happened in Nashville with the FtM killing 6 people, 3 of whom were 9 year olds?
Like Anomimous said, "Catholics have it coming" is the tone of a long list of RPGs these days and the average poster on here is so out of touch with reality they believe it.So what's the mods reaction to what happened in Nashville with the FtM killing 6 people, 3 of whom were 9 year olds?
Just like I'm sure they support the removal of half-races in D&D as being problematic, even though I don't know anyone can explain it being problematic without being incredibly racist.Like Anomimous said, "Catholics have it coming" is the tone of a long list of RPGs these days and the average poster on here is so out of touch with reality they believe it.
As someone pointed out in the RPG thread this half-race banning has not touched the currently very popular tieflings. So the problem seems not to be with race mixing but the name half-insert race.Just like I'm sure they support the removal of half-races in D&D as being problematic, even though I don't know anyone can explain it being problematic without being incredibly racist.
https://www.nationalreview.com/news/meet-the-woke-activists-behind-the-roald-dahl-book-purge/The company hired to revise Roald Dahl’s books only uses “woke” consultants under the age of 30 and once employed a project manager who describes themselves as a “non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist.”
Inclusive Minds — a “collective for people who are passionate about inclusion and accessibility in children’s literature” was hired to revise, and in some cases, rewrite entire sections of Dahl’s books, deleting descriptions such as “fat” or “ugly” and ohter terms now deemed offensive.
The organization utilizes “sensitivity readers,” as wellas nearly 100 “inclusion ambassadors” — who range in age from eight to 30 — to remove language deemed insensitive or non-inclusive from texts, the National Review reported.
So the people suggesting these changes are children, online morons and people who want to work in the industry who are also being given the power to destroy the works of their competition. The last I find infinitely more deplorable than the merely ignorant. The half races removal smacks to me as a combination of all of the above, what they likely would likely claim would be better is keeping the various half races but with their own special name to avoid offending idiots like them.Among the progressive editors tasked with revisiting classics such as “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Matilda” and “The Witches” was a staffer who described themselves as a “non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist who is on the autism spectrum,” according to National Review.
Jo Ross-Barrett, a former project manager at the company, had earlier boasted on their since-deleted LinkedIn page about being involved in a secretive project involving children’s classics — hinting at the Dahl revisions.
On their page, they wrote about “delivering a large-scale, comprehensive review of inclusion issues and potential solutions for copyright holders and publishers of one of the most famous classic children’s book collections in the world (specifics under NDA until publication),” according to the outlet.
Other activists who worked on the project include the current director of Inclusive Minds, A. M. Dassu, who wrote “Fight Back,” a story of a girl who fights Islamophobia after a terrorist attack, and “Boot It,” about two boys who “tackle racism” on their sports teams.
Another ambassador, Sarah Mehrali, has previously expressed frustration over the lack of Muslim representation in children’s books, writing in a blog post on the organization’s website that by reading stories with only white characters as a child she learned “people of colour don’t go on adventures.”
A spokesperson for Inclusive Minds told National Review its ambassadors don’t make direct edits, but that young people with “lived experience” have valuable inputs to make when it comes to “reviewing language that can be damaging and perpetuate harmful stereotypes”. They also noted publishers have the final say at to what changes they want to make.
FTFY. Like misinformation reporters all being involved with spreading misinformation, every single sensitivity reader is a terminally poisoned by idpol asshole who has no business near anything creative, because they cannot do that, only destroy. No exceptions. The biggest problem is they're using sensitivity readers which who aremostlyterminally online idiots detached from realitymost ofwhomare only in it for a foot in the door in that industry
Oh, yes, we should definitely have words like "elfatto" and "elforoon" to indicate the exact blood quantum. That would be very progressive. The half races removal smacks to me as a combination of all of the above, what they likely would likely claim would be better is keeping the various half races but with their own special name to avoid offending idiots like them.
I believe Kingdoms of Kalamar did it with a dwarf/human one that was called Mul (my bad, it was Dark Suns) and I can understand the desire to do so. But honestly you then just drive the racial purity spiral harder than ever.Oh, yes, we should definitely have words like "elfatto" and "elforoon" to indicate the exact blood quantum. That would be very progressive.
I'm going for elfizo and make em southamerican in ma campaenOh, yes, we should definitely have words like "elfatto" and "elforoon" to indicate the exact blood quantum. That would be very progressive.
Cite the AD&D rules in a thread? Here comes your second infraction, bigot!
The only people I feel bad for are the ones who sign up to talk about rpgs without looking at the rest of the site and get confused when they're promptly banned for violating unwritten leftist ideological rule #512315 that was made up on the spot.I hate these fucking people so much.
Um excuse me, you can talk about rpgs all you want, you just can't say anything negative about them. The only people I feel bad for are the ones who sign up to talk about rpgs without looking at the rest of the site and get confused when they're promptly banned for violating unwritten leftist ideological rule #512315 that was made up on the spot.
If you've been there for more than a few days I have no sympathy for your ban. "You knew what I was when you signed up."
I was actually having this conversation with a friend earlier. Things like the Geek Social Fallacies are like pretty much every lefty buzzword concept, in that it's a thing, a valuable framework to refer to - but it's been over- and mis-used to the point of meaninglessness. For example, gaslighting is a real thing, but has been so diluted by (mostly) women calling anything they disagree with gaslighting that it's lost all meaning. The same with mansplaining - it's now applied to any time a man explains something to or for a woman, even when she has no idea what she's talking about and he's an expert in the field, when it's only meant to apply to when it's the other way around. Women will claim they are being mansplained to when a man points out a mistake they've made online, and then call it gaslighting if anyone then says that, like it or not, she's still wrong. The thing that rustles my jimmies about their whole little cult is that the same people who are all, "Gatekeeping in RPGs is BAD, mkay?" are the exact same people who came up with the geek social fallacies concept, which basically boils down to it being bad if you don't boot someone's ass out of your club for wrongthink.
There's also the important factor that geeks are small in number so a single infiltration is a larger percentage of the whole than say fans of a sport. You get 10 people into a fandom of 1,000,000 strong you're a small voice. Every time a 0 comes off the end of that fandom their voice gets a lot louder.Things like troonery prey upon geek spaces because it hits on the subject of inclusion and acceptable, which has always been a live wire for geeks. If you don't Accept Me As I Am, you're an evil ostracizer. If you don't like this thing I'm doing, you're not an ally.
A lot of geeks also heavily buy into the narrative of perpetual victimhood. Many geeks, particularly those who grew up before geekdom gained mainstream cool, have had horrible formative experiences with bullying and ostracism. Those experiences contributed to forming their self-identity as perennial social outcasts. Regardless of how their lives have developed since those events, in their internal narrative they are always the Victims, never the Bullies. For this reason, any behavior that upsets them, including requests to moderate their own behavior for other people’s sake, is a form of bullying. For this reason, a lot of people in geek spaces troon out for the social capital of victimhood.
For all that RPGNet claims to be diverse, inclusive, and welcoming, they have consistently shown hostility to those who are different from them. But since they are the Victims, they cannot be Bullies.
