Thats an issue of spotlight again. The DM is focusing the spotlight on something super weird he is into to the detriment of the collective experience of all the other players.

I hope when these people die and go to hell, their punishment is to spend eternity in a campaign run by a complete Whizzard.

Except the fetish is whatever triggers them most.

We had a character in a past PF campaign who was basically a massive horndog, an male elven rogue with an eye for the girls and the guys. Thankfully this was played for laughs and amusement rather than cringe.

Like so many other concepts, in the hands of a good gamer/roleplayer such ideas work well. It's when you put them in the hands of intrinsically immature people that things start unraveling.

You know, I might talk to the rogue's player about that. Might be interesting to see what she has to say.

Kinda strange how this guy describes it as Not as weird as rpg.net. so only half pozzed?
Morrus, the guy who runs EN World, is a bit of a turd. He's an arrogent Brit who I think has a great deal of loathing for Americans in general, and conservatives in particular. I've seen him at a few Gencons and he's a chinless wonder that you instinctively want to rapid-slap across the face three times, like in those old gangster movies from the 30's.

I give him credit for trying bilk his user base of twits out of their money with his shitty RPG products, but not much else.

He was also good at bilking his writers and artists out of their money.

I had heard rumbling about that too. But every time I feel a little sympathetic about that I realize that they entered into a business agreement with Russ.
The thing a LOT of people don't know is that ENPublishing absorbed a lot of early 3.0 3rd party content creators by working out a deal with the guy running the imprint/publishing house and thus taking over the intellectual properties. They then pumped them up on RPGNow, the whole time the people who wrote the stuff, did the artwork, would ask the owners of the original company "When am I getting paid?" and be told to talk to Russ, and Russ would tell them to talk to the original owners about who was getting paid. The guy known as Hellhound (Who went to jail for pedophilia and CP IRRC) who ran Ambient with his wife did that to about a dozen people. The Ennies were about pumping up their favored works, and a lot of people knew it was more a popularity contest rather than any actual skill or innovation or interesting products.

A big flamestorm came when the aforementioned Hellhound had brokered a deal with White Wolf to have White Wolf imprint a bunch of Ambient and ENPub products. He took the advance, then leaned on the writers. The writers found out that apparently Hellhound pocketed the advances, as well as lied about how well the products were selling (Thanks to the RPGNow Leak), told Hellhound to pound sand and told White Wolf to eat a dick, which caused huge problems for ENPub but Hellhound in particular.

More than once (back in the day) someone in ENPub would be talking about how hot certain products were selling, the authors would be: "Hot damn! I'm gonna get PAID!" and then when the time rolled around, creative accounting or just flat out lying would tell that author "LOL, you didn't make $50, no payment for you!"

TL;DR: ENPub would absorb smaller companies and not pay those people while publishing that company's products. A NAMBLA supporting Canadian working with ENPub screwed people out of any profit.

LOL, I remember that whole Hellhound situation. The thing is that many of the people on ENWorld and Circvs Maximvs that pretended to be shocked about it were often despicable wretches in their own right. While there were plenty of normal members, those boards were also breeding ground for all types of weirdos.

Much like the furry fandom, when you don't purge the cancer, it spreads.

There's been some drama over the Kickstarter for Kamigakari being late, as the author has burned through $50k in funds on personal expenses and has nothing to show for it. While the subject is on RPG freelancers being shitty and unreliable, Zeea takes the opportunity throw shade at a former RPGNet mod, Holden Shearer, for their spat on Twitter. Exhibit n+1 of the mod clique being filled with horrible people, and trans-lesbian Zeea showing more projection than a twelve-screen movie theater.

Holy shit, Zeea is such a massive sperg. How the fuck did this guy ever get made a hotpocket? And why the fuck are the other hotpockets defending him chimping out?
"This is MY conversation now to talk about how that dang dirty Holden betray me TALK ABOUT MY PROBLEMS!!!!"
Amazing.
EDIT: The Twitter sperging about this has some gems.

Well, that was some grade A, Era-quality levels of 'not willing to play ball? BANNED!'.

What a pack of hypocritical faggots. Seriously. How these people can look at themselves in the mirror in the morning is beyond me.

EDIT: I don't know when they changed it but the Infractions board is now publically viewable again. I love this 'X has accumulated 50000 warning points' thing it has -- it's so cute, like they're implying he went over some limit when it's clearly arbitrary and doled out with the permabans.

Zeea isn't just a trans-lesbian, she's an autistic trans-lesbian who apparently subscribes to Jake Alley logic.

Does anyone have fun on RPG.net, or is acting the part of a petty dictator on a dying forum dedicated to a dying industry what these drooling autists actually consider to be fun?

Hall monitors don't like fun. They just like throwing down "clever" one liners when they ban people for disagreeing with them.

IGNORE ALL TWITTER RESULTS!

Why is someone who describes interacting with normal people as "space alien guessing games" a moderator, anyway? That is a social activity by nature, yes?
