Honestly, at this point, its just more sad than anything. Its so utterly pathetic that it seems to eclipse even the like of ResetEra in its utter pettiness at times.

Back in May, LibraryLass earned a permaban for criticizing the mods when they were acting like power-tripping assholes. Six months after, she wrote a groveling apology about how Bad Orange Man made her do it appealed the ban, and was allowed back onto the board.

Unfortunately for LibraryLass, she got caught shit-talking Zeea on Facebook, and the permaban was remade permanent. The mods quickly line up to kick the extra point on their obnoxious behavior that pissed off LibraryLass in the first place.

Aside from further confirmation that Wyzard is a male feminist, it sounds like LibraryLass was one of the SJWs who loved to constantly trawl the board in search of wrongthink and then demand to speak with the management. As I understand it, there's more than a few of these people on the board, yet the mods don't seem to understand where they are coming from.

Back in June, user wormmonda got banned for seven days for the crime of pointing out that a moronic Kickstarter for an RPG about Native Americans was being written by a guy who wasn't a Native American (and also apparently had no clue what he was doing, but that's besides the point.)

The user spent his week in the shame corner reflecting on how he was flying off the handle at the slightest provocation and maybe this was causing people to not like him.

So I got a 7-days ban from RPGnet forums for identity policing. To put it in context, it took some transphobe a dozen post before they get a 1-day ban for concern trolling, but it took this transgirl one post to get 7-days. Though to be fair, I was already on their blacklist: I got a warning for asking why Conservatives believe taxing the rich is bad for the poor, another one for saying Conservatives are transphobes, and an one-day ban for daring to speak the truth about just how fucking racist RPG sites are.

This time, I stumbled across a Kickstarter about a RPG that would create role models for Native American youth. The KS page itself lacks any information, the author’s bio reads like he’s applying for a Silicon Valley exec job, and nothing suggests that he’s Native American. Fearing that this might be a white person trying to appropriate the Native American culture, I asked a good-faith question about what people think of the RPG, with a truthful statement that “the creator is not Native as far as I can see.”

Some of the responses questioned the identity of the creator as well as the dubious quality of the KS, with one person keeps repeating U R NOT NATIVE SHUT THE FUCK UP at everyone. Then the creator added a DeviantArt link, where he claim he is in fact a Native American, and the wise and fair mods decided that I must have been a racist trying to undermine his project by “identity policing”, since it’s obviously a common tactic used by American racists, and everyone in the world MUST know it!

Whether the creator is truly a Native American or whether the KS was created in good faith is no longer the point here; the point is that I asked a good faith question with the information I have, with the benign intention to prevent Native American culture from potentially being exploited, and the RPGnet mods assume that me – a person from Taiwan – must have possessed the necessary cultural context to know this is a racist tactic, because they can’t contemplate any other cultural context.

This is privilege and virtue-signaling if I ever see it, and God it is so fucking real.

Here’s my “appeal” about my ban:

“I am truly sorry for my thread questioning the Native identity of the writer; my intention was benign, as I have seen many white people appropriate Native culture for their own selfish end. However, not being an American, I was not educated in the glorious American Imperialist history and the myriad ways the white invaders used to dehumanize and humiliate the Natives, and my attempt appeared to mirror one of these tactics by accident. But of course anyone from an inferior culture such as mine who’s not aware of the nuanced history of the marvelous American empire is at fault here, so I do apologize about how this barbaric foreigner didn’t read through your sordid history of oppression and conduct herself in a way that appeals to your Imperialist sensibilities. Have fun kicking out non-Americans with weird customs, queer people with a grudge against Conservatives, and POCs complaining about police brutalities; I’m sure when the Fascists finally come after you, there will be a fat load of Centrists between you and them. G’luck!”

“By the way, a mod staff composed of mainly cishet white men mansplaining to an Asian transgirl about how her innocent question is identity policing is just fucking rich. I deal with TERFs daily, just this morning I found out that one of my new transgirl ‘friend’ is actually a TERF sock that baited me with trans positive presentations and messages before they made me a target of all their TERF friends when I didn’t notice, so forgive this transgirl for being a little wary of anyone claiming minority status for potential gain, but I’m sure I know what identity policing looks like better than you privileged asshats, so have fun virtue-signaling about how much you care about the rights of cishet men who claims to be Native by throwing an Asian pan transgirl under the bus, truly the very model of a rational and impartial management. So I have already covered how this transgirl got banned from RPGnet as a sacrifice for their attempt to virtue-signal and gain woke points, but following recent events I think it’s high time we examine how RPGnet had became a cesspool little better than any other RPG site, and in some respects may actually be worse. So, here we go:

One thing that had set RPGnet apart from other major RP sites is a relatively active tangent section where politics is discussed. The position of the mods is best described as True Centrist AKA Lawful Stupid: people have been banned by calling members of the Tea Party “Teabagger” even when some of the Teabaggers identify as such.

If you’re a queer person or queer ally being alarmed by how similar this is to how Twitter silences queer people for using the term TERF to describe transphobes who once proudly identified themselves as TERFs, and rightfully see it as a huge red flag of the underlying Fascism in their thinking, then you’re wiser than I was back then.

LibraryLass, another transgirl who was active on RPGnet, is permanently banned for publicly challenging the mods…after they warned her and banned her for trivialities like saying “slaying evil people isn’t evil”. And of course, since she didn’t play by their rules and send an e-mail to a private gmail account, she deserved all the worst.

Do you see the pattern here? They’d find the slightest controversy in the opinion of a trans person, twisted it into something sinister like “identity policing” or even good old “genocide” as a ground to ban trans people. And when you rightfully demand an honorable discussion in the public, they ban you more because that’s their rules.

How much would you like to bet that if we’re not trans and hadn’t proudly wear the trans flag colors in our avatars, our posts would never have been reported and thus examined? If we had made it clear that we’re cishet white men like the majority of the users, we’d have gotten a chuckle and a pat on the back whatever we do.

And how about the thing that they didn’t do? They hype up Cyberpunk RED as much as they want, completely oblivious to the obvious transphobia of the writer; they care more about whether there should be luchadores in Harry Potter than the fact that the writer wants to eradicate Jews and trans people from the face of the Earth.

They also enjoyed patting themselves on the back on how Guardian mentioned their banning of Trump supporter, willfully ignorant to the fact that Guardian had been a important factor in publishing TERF propaganda and contributing to UK hate crimes against queer people, because they’re too busy circlejerking to give a fuck about it.

And when I, once again, broke the news to them in good faith, warning them that the Guardian article is really singling them out to be a target of right-wingers, they not only banned my alt, they also deleted my posts, because in their mind playing by the rules is more important than human rights or basic decency or even people’s lives.

And lo and behold, a Trump supporter joined the forum with the totally subtle user name of “rpgnetsucks” for the explicit purpose of trolling them. None of these would have happened if they had just listened, but they’d rather kneel and suck on Fascist dicks than to listen to minorities outside of their echo chamber, so there you go!

Of course they’re not talking about Andy getting punched by Antifa; that’s too violent for their delicate Liberal minds; of course they removed the queer subforum; they’d say it’s because its lack of activity, but when you’ve pretty much banned every trans women from your forum, maybe you just didn’t created a LGBT-friendly space?

Make no mistake: these Liberals are not comrades to leftists, nor are they friends to Democrats; when they can barely raise their voice against oppression with nothing at stake, you can’t count on them for anything: not voting, not fighting, not anything except eating the shit that came out of a Fascist asshole while in their echo chamber.

They are closeted white supremacists, misogynists, homophobes, and transphobes, each and every last one of them, they just don’t have the guts to own up to their own shit, which is why when push comes to shove, most of them would stand with the Fascist to save their skin – the only thing they have after they gave up their spines.

What they don’t realize is that when the left and the progressive and the Liberals who actually give a shit are all gone, they’re going to be the left. So when the Fascists eventually go into their echo chamber to convert the faithful and exterminate the dissidents, there will be absolutely no one left to help them, and they’d deserve it.

The best thing you can do for them, the only thing you can do for them, is to go into their echo chamber and shout at them until they snap out of their complacency; most of them will show their true colors as Fascist collaborators, but a rare few good souls would awaken, choose a side and join the fight before it’s too late for all of us.

Warmonga was a real piece of work, really remined me of the rapist transgirl (duckcall girl) who would use her status as a bludgeon against anyone who disagreed with her about anything.

On another note it is pretty fun posting as a banned user, considering how seriously the mods take themselves.

On one hand, while the basis of a lot of her complaints is victimized idpol shit, on the other, I agree that these mods are a bunch of quasi-fascist "allies" on a power trip looking to silence anyone that makes them the slightest bit uncomfortable, which results in trampling over the very people they claim to be protecting.

Nobody looks good here, but I'm leaning more towards Wormmonda's side.

I agree, it's resetera after their hatred for gamers is replaced with a hatred for tabletop. Even the purple color motifs match up just perfectly. Maybe a cross-moderation deal would be nice considering how one forum has bored mods waiting in ambush to ban everyone who paid for their account, and the other is severely understaffed and has quite a few mentally ill posters cruisin' for a bruisin'.
