Idealized perceptions of native Americans are an odd aspect off the Western thinking, that it can be morally wrong to invade a culture without putting the culture on a pedastal is alien . If the European countries cannot be God it must obviously be Satan and everything about the cultures we persecuted must be an epitaph to our sins.
It's ultimately patronizing and racist, rejecting their humanity for an idealized, self-congratulatory stereotype so the white people doing it can preen themselves on how enlightened they are, while in actually erasing the indigenous people's actual culture.

It's also incredably self-absorbed.The indigenous people we oppressed become little more than props in a personal morality play and their suffering is only relavent in how mean we are since the 'story' is still ultimalty about us.

Someone should post about how they're excited to be using Palladium's Rifts: New West and Rifts: Spirit West and how they can't wait to have Souix with SAMAS suits done up like per-Colonilism braves and Glitter Boys and shit, along with the cool magic of Spirit West and all that good shit.

Watch their heads explode when you're talking straight from the sourcebooks.

Well, that was no surprise. Arethusa's a faggot who evidently worships his/her/its ideal of a Happy Peaceful Injun.

Also, Arethusa hates Walker Texas Ranger, because it's totally wrong that Cordell Walker is half-Indian (because he's played by Chuck Norris, natch).
Oooo... wonder how they'll do with the reboot.

Doubt it'll do well. I like Jared Padalecki but those are some ridiculously big boots to fill. Plus, I expect Current Day Shenanigans to rear their head, where they cram LGBTQ and goofy ass nonbinary bullshit into every crevice to crowd out Walker's proper role (which is, of course, spin-kicking criminals into next week).

Well I didn't mean in the general (because I already agree with you on that) but specifically how Arethusa would deal.

I wonder who this is even supposed to be racist against? Native Americans? The only stereotype that at all corresponds to Amerindians is the one that he's specifically saying he doesn't want to do. I'm used to them giving retarded reasons for their bans, but this one is downright nonsensical.

I don't know the entire history of the Oregon Trail, but I'm sure that it's now as "horrific" as the antics of the 7th Calvary Regiment (ironically, it was wiped out by the Natives, at one point).

I'm convinced at this point that just mentioning them at all causes a reflexive ban.

So based off the recent postings I am guessing the following games are outright banned from the site;
Deadlands
D&D 3.5 in Eberron - Mongol Elves, monster nation, down trodden goblinoids who foremerly had a great empire, literal slave owning giants, dwarven bankers.
Any 40k games
Paranoia
Spirit of the Century
Wod Werewolf
L5R (and Legend of the Burning Sands if you could find anyone who played it)
Call of Cthullu

Have they stuck a master list of "unacceptable in any circumstance" games yet or do they just ban them as soon as they appear?

Even the admins are stepping in to explain why not being sufficiently sensitive to the Indians makes you complicit in their genocide.

Wouldn't joke about My Lai? I'd like to give em an earful on that one!

Anyway that's a lot of words to say "we're humorless dickwads and we'll ban you for the most trivial bullshit imaginable."

Custer was in charge of the 7th for roughly 9 years and most of the unit's missions involved either surveying Indian territory (and getting shot at for trespassing) or running them off their land after the federal government gave them a chance to relocate. Of course, it's common knowledge that the Natives are getting screwed over by the feds; but the 7th wasn't committing systematic genocide like the Nazis and Soviets did, nor were they the only ones who were assigned to vacating the tribes...And the conflict with the Natives were also the equivalent of our War on Terror, if you look at it, a certain way. Speaking of which, the 8th Cavalry Regiment was assigned to the Apache Wars, which was actually caused by the "savage natives" stereotype. There's two sides on every coin, folks!

There's also the Jamestown Massacre, which is the Brits stealing from the Natives and they raided and indiscriminately killed off the colonists out of revenge.
