It doesn't help the new 7th Sea mechanical system is utterly garbage. Playing it was pointless and I felt like my time was utterly wasted. The mechanics are awful - the rolling at the start of a 'scene' and spending raises at every conflict removes all sorts of tension and the idea of being a 'good guy' so you can never actually kill anyone is just...retarded.
That game has real high brow ideas of how it should play in theory but the reality is a slog and a mess Corebook that doesn't give DMs enough to really craft their own stories. They released a more indepth book a year later for the countries but too little too late imo.
Some of the changes and additions are interesting but that garbage system is fucking awful.

I don't have an account at RPGnet, so I can't read Tangency, but I'd bet top dollar that they're deleting any post or thread that points out Biden's ICE/CBP is doing almost the exact same things Trump's ICE/CBP was doing (with the exception being shipping quantities of illegal aliens inland, rather than yeeting them back to Mexico). Yeah, I could be wrong, but still.
Though I did notice that Summer Solstice (who got the axe for criticizing the political 'cooldown') isn't actually flagged as being banned. Mousing over their name on the site should show the big red banned tag in the 'pocket profile' popup card, but it's not there for them. Probably due to incompetence on staff's behalf.
Speaking of the 'fuck ICE' idiocy, one user (Dorsai) straight up said 'Fuck this, I'm out' during the thread. And as far as I can tell, he never returned. He's not banned. He had ONE infraction (a threadban) back in 2013. But he hasn't shown a login since that day in 2018. Dorsai, wherever the fuck you are, I salute you, sir. Sometimes the wisest move is to walk the fuck away and never go back, the end.
Amusingly, in one of the few examples of mod-on-mod action, Q99 slapped JamesCat with a 2-day for replying to Dorsai with 'go fuck yourself you rancid shitstain'. Even more amusingly, it seems that soured JamesCat on RPGnet, as he hasn't been on since May of 2020, and hasn't posted since that day. Now, I suppose JamesCat could be jerking off behind the scenes on mod-only forums, but I'm not sure I buy that line of thought.

Well no shit it is. I know these people are too stupid to understand this very basic concept, but countries have borders. They enforce them by only allowing people to cross them in a lawful manner. If people cross these borders unlawfully, well, they're fucking criminals, and we remove them.

On most forums these days, any criticism of Biden will be conflated with support for Trump. I see no reason that Retarded People Gather dot net would be any different.
That's what funny about the 'mostly law abiding' argument. You can call them 'undocumented' and 'dreamers' all you want, but illegals are illegal, and their crimes shouldn't be rewarded by granting them a quick path to citizenship.

There are of course other issues. CBP straight up admitted they were testing for Covid but releasing illegals -- even with positive results -- into the population with a pinky swear they'd be back for their hearings.
(Why this is policy makes me honest to God furious. And it should make any other person with three neurons furious as well.)
That doesn't even cover other diseases that they may be carrying. Christ, I'm not advocating machine-gunning them down at the border, but the U.S. government is elected to look after the interests of the U.S. -- and while we have taken in refugees and people seeking a better life before, those storm-tossed orphans were willing to work and assimilate and join the mosh pit. They don't have to delete anything because no one's talking about Biden's policies. There's a thread about who's joining the Biden administration and a "political images" thread but everyone's very careful to talk in generalities and ignore the fact that Biden is fumbling the ball more often then he catches it. No mention of the border crisis or the China trade war or getting back into the ME forever war or even Biden's increasingly feebleminded behavior.
