"No cosmetics" servers can't come soon enough. What the fuck is going on with this game and its playerbase.
Virgin coomer override vs chad snowman override

Honestly as a compromise depending on what form the cosmetic toggle ultimately takes, if it can be sorta specific toggles, if Keepsakes are exempt since those are just items.

If this coincided with a random refresh (whenever that avatar update happens Fagex get on it) of treasure trail items that'd be sick since those are all the OG fashionscape items. Some of them hold up, but they still have that slightly low poly funk that they're moving away from that with an updated avatar it might look weird.

Speaking of, we have a date for the cosmetic-free worlds test: July 28th through September 30th. Four worlds to start, and if demand is high through the test, they'll consider adding more. The FAQ specifies that cosmetic-free worlds probably won't be the final implementation of the idea, which sounds to me like they'd be more interested in adding a toggle to the options so players can choose whether they see any cosmetics on any world. I think a three-tier option would work well, if they can make it happen: all cosmetics, personal cosmetics, or no cosmetics.

If they made it to where I can hide the ugly wings I'll be happy. They're so obnoxious

I think that's fair. I mean there are some fag titles but a lot of them are achievement based (the statuesque, Ravensworn, etc.) also all pets? What about like, the old ones that turned into menu pets like dogs and ravens?

It might mean pet overrides, so you can't make your familiar look like something it's not, but you could still have a regular pet follow you around. We'll have to see when it comes out.

If it's too time-consuming to separate achievement titles then I'll go with get rid of all of them. On a related note, Mod Breezy's working on revamping player examines. I think the idea was to make it better to showcase achievements.

Dunno about pets. Legendaries have features, but I can understand the argument they're inherently MTX. I'm guessing it's too time-consuming to make a proper distinction and they've opted to exclude them all for the test. Which I'm fine with. I'd rather they go the extreme route than compromise.

Really I hope those categories then exist as toggles and maybe a few more. Wardrobe is the biggest offender to me. I try to do tasteful, fitting fashionscape like keepsakes and basic armor style cosmetics that fit in the world but all these faggots wear rainbows and wings so I have to compromise and accept it. Followed by some walk/animation overrides like the flying or extremely silly running ones and certain skill animations like the various gathering ones, such as when you use magic or something to chop a tree. Overhead emptes can go, not that I see many people use them.

I think the rest especially ability overrides aren't that bad because really they aren't that intrusive. Your magic attacks now have a spooky red glow or when you use Quake it's ice, that's no big deal. If they ever came out with a pride rainbow meteor strike or Sunshine override then I'll have an issue. The same for (most) pets. Like if you wanna override and show off your boss/Skilling pet good for you considering how important a familiar is for pvm. Any of those pets the make noise are annoying too.

Filtering your chat and removing all proof of ironmen in RS3 is an interesting thought, but I don't think I've seen one speak in years. Probably has something to do with low playercount and an ungodly amount of instances for things. In osrs, you've got the option of filtering actual ironman speech using plugins, which is probably a good idea at times due to the amount of verbal dysentery that is spewed by various shades of the sped-helmet. Seeing their petulant and ineffective responses to being crashed or otherwise ragged is honestly music to my ears at times.
I wish they at least removed the solomon store related titles, and honestly let the troons keep their shitty "egg" troon colors and whatnot. As jarring as it may be, I've actually grown to like looking at the cool titles that you get from doing various feats like pushing enrage, clue log chasing or fully completing the slayer/various boss logs and it would probably be the only part of nu-runescape customization I would keep.

Ironmen are everywhere in rs3. Half or more of the people at the pvm hub are irons at any time on my home world.

I'm going to guess you spend more time skilling with portables. Wouldn't find irons around those areas.

As for titles, I think I'm partly averse to them 'cause I'd hit the very end of endgame a few years back. None of the achievement titles look impressive to me. It's all the same gargled gold for feats, the vast majority of which aren't difficult.
Titles were cool way back when there weren't a whole lot of them. I returned to the game some time in 2017. There weren't lots titles back then. Good ones were Telos Warden 500% (green), Daredevil (red, raids feats), Salty (arc completion) and seasonal competition ones, and death match or bounty hunter. I don't remember there being boss titles otherwise. Anyway, rare titles were mostly coveted, and the good ones stood out because there weren't 100 others that looked the exact same (and combat was a different beast).

I could log onto my main and get a golden title from Solak in the hour. That's utter slop in my eyes.

Besides that, it's daft to ignore the blight of colourful homosexual titles in the same way that it's retarded to suggest 'just ignore the mtx if it bothers you'. Where there's a hellscape of animated fiery wings, drake pets and disabled walk overrides everywhere you visit, there's strings of progressive lunacy in every right-click and chat message, subliminally pounding you through engineered colours carrying connotations of sexual deviancy and distinct from the goldenslop feats.

A creepy nonce faggot on my home world started using the rainbow pride title on the same day Jagex had announced the list of things that would get toggled off on cosmetic-less worlds. For a couple of months prior he'd been using a single other inconspicuous title that fit his streamer name/brand (even during the fag parades of June). Gee, I wonder why. These people get off on flaunting their degenerate sexuality. They stand on unoccupied tiles around bank chests and wildy events so everyone will see their rainbow trail auras.

I see, therefore I call out.

I liked the quest well enough right up until the ending. You beat Amascut, she kills Itchlarin, resurrects him, then goes "oh, i'm a good guy now" and fucks off. I thought this quest would have been a buildup towards the boss fight next week but i guess not. Unless i missed some crucial dialogue somewhere.

Well, you've got me there in the sense that rare titles and cosmetics have definitely lost their value with how accessible they've become and how often they re-release shit that was never supposed to be re-released.
I was about to write a whole tirade about some cool snowflake accounts, but it's RS3 and I've forgotten everything there can be bought in one way or another, even on the quirky ironman accounts.

I do agree that total TTD can't come quick enough, and public chat is filled with redditors using 'quirky' quickchat messages and unnerving faggot hugboxes who feel zero shame.

W84 lumbridge market or Fort is definitely funny. You see some random person mention Trump or some other current events and it's just an avalanche of faggotry and arguing that follows while everyone bank stands and does crafting and fletching.

I guess it was like the other recent quest bosses that got turned into actual boss fights (Zamorak, Rasial, Zemouregal and Vorkath, the Gate), in that you beat them once canonically in the quest itself on a lower difficulty so that everyone can complete the story, and then the boss encounter is released later to let you replay it at the intended difficulty level and with actual loot rewards. I too thought the conclusion would come with the boss release, but I guess not. Not that I mind, I'm not much of a bosser, especially not group bosses.

I suppose I have mixed feelings on the ending, although a decent chunk of the characters did say that they were either hesitant or unlikely to seek any kind of reconciliation, which offsets it somewhat instead of a "yaaaay we're all happy buddies now" ending out of nowhere. Leela herself says that it would probably be generations before Amascut could properly atone for her crimes, if at all. Maybe I'm just a sucker that believes anyone has a chance to turn things around before the end, I dunno. And the quest adds a couple of dangling lore threads for Xau-Tak and Erebus to be picked up at a later date.

But hey, the rewards are excellent at least. Four 250k xp lamps (requires level 85 in the skill to use them on), a title, the Amascut eclipse skybox, an Icthlarin outfit for your Lorehound pet, four times as much xp from divine carpet dust, another small room in the Sunken Pyramid (requires 3000 slayer points to unlock), and four boons that can be toggled on or off at will: 5% extra hit points, 1% xp boost to other players any time you emote, 2% chance of extra materials when skilling, and a 1% chance to auto-complete a treasure trail on any clue. You don't even have to choose which boon you want, you can have them all active at once, so honestly I don't see why anyone wouldn't just keep them all on.

From the rumblings I heard, the quest Amascut is a bespoke boss fight, IE an actual quest boss. And to be fair if that was gonna be the big scary made for groups boss fight Amascut next week, I would be disappointed. The Amascut group boss is a what-if scenario of if she actually succeeded and devoured the desert I think, so she's super juiced up and you're putting an end to her a bit too late.

Also I liked that they whipped Erebus and Xau-Tak out like that but also not, kinda ruins the mystique a teeny tiny bit that Icthlarin confirms XT is a titan and drops that on us too. But more importantly Tumeken is by all appearances a construct of Jas. That has some serious implications, and makes me wonder if it's intentional or not, like if he was like her equivalent of the Tzhaar, a being made with a specific purpose who broke away.
