I liked the quest well enough right up until the ending. You beat Amascut, she kills Itchlarin, resurrects him, then goes "oh, i'm a good guy now" and fucks off. I thought this quest would have been a buildup towards the boss fight next week but i guess not. Unless i missed some crucial dialogue somewhere.
I notice they brought back the faggot as lead writer. Firing Mod Jack wasn't enough.

I'm curious how NM and especially enrage will change.

I think Enrage will, as always, add a new phase. I'm wondering what will change for NM necessitating a group.

New weapons and armour were added to the GE pre-release. Dunno if they're still visible. From what I remember:
  • Halberd has a passive and special attack
  • Mainhand necro wep (people couldn't find an off-hand. Possibly released in the future?)
  • Nexus
  • Magic power armour has a 5 piece set effect

The death guard has a soul-related effect, so the intent is to use it with the Rasial lantern.

Discord users dug into the item cache for the new drops coming with Amascut. Details aren't totally clear but we have a general idea

  • T95 Tumuken Mage Robes
    • 3-pieces; Sunshine will apply to bleeds
    • 4-pieces; Changes Asphyxiate to an 8-tick channel that hits every tick for 90% damage per hit (roughly double damage)
    • Unknown: Procs to boost next Crit damage on a non-channeled attack
  • T95 Devourer Handguard
    • Passive: Soul Reave*
      • After you've gained stacks, deals empowered auto that gains a Residual Soul (basically same as Omni Guard, but Souls instead of Necrosis)
    • Special Attack: Soul Crush*
      • "Crush your target with souls of the undead."
      • 25% adrenaline cost, 30 second buff with a 60 second cooldown*
      • Consumes all Souls and deals extra damage for each soul (again, similar to Omni Guard with Necrosis)
      • Soul Sap, Soul Strike, Volley of Souls, and Scythe attacks all make the next auto an empowered strike (again, similar to Omni Guard)
      • *Icon appears to be shared with Omni-guard T95 , given how identical the effects are, it's possible they share cooldown (this is my own speculation)*
  • T95 Halberd (Tumuken''s Light)
    • Passive: Purifying Light (details unknown)
    • Special: Sunfall Slam
      • "Slam your target with the full force of Tumuken's light"
      • 40% adrenaline cost, 15 second duration and 60 second cooldown.
      • AOE
      • Melee abilities will apply "Lesser Purifying Light" (effect unknown)
  • Devourer's Nexus
    • Two variants, untradeable and tradable (likely behaving akin Scriptures)
    • Passive: Haunting Vigor
      • Boosts damage cap from Haunted effect
      • Removes Vengeful Ghost passive healing

I like the idea of the nexus. It's an untapped area of applying passive effects to alter things and the one from Vorkath is free (after 50? kills) and not that interesting. Necro is the king of sustain to the point that I think most people would definitely trade ghost healing for more damage since good soul split use already should cover 98% of all content.

I'm still waiting for their new ideas for Necromancy summons. I'm almost certain i remember them talking about future summons that would be so powerful they take more than 1 slot in your army, or summons that help with skilling.

I think Vorkath at this point is a totally legit idea for a 2 slot conjure. Or any old dragon but Vorkath is kind of like our ghost dog now based on Requiem For a Dragon.
They could maybe treat it like the demon part of summoning but for necromancy. Summon ankou, shades, whatever.

Vorkath himself makes sense though. Ethical and consensual necromancy and all.

This has huge synergy with fsoa and channellers ring.

Zuk cape omnipower just got nuttier.
Decent armour.

I like the halberd, too. Found some secondhand info which someone had taken from a tranny discord server:
Purifying Light: killing something deals 35-45% damage to 4 targets within 6 tiles.
Tumeken's Light: 255-265% damage to targets in ? range. Melee abilities trigger 'Lesser Purifying Light' (25-35% damage to 2 targets within 4 tiles)
40% adren cost / 15s duration / 60s cd

Dunno if there's any boss encounter that'd make full use of it. Decent for afk slayer. The special attack is really strong. Should be able to get ~7 instances of aoe from abilities every cycle.
Questions I have are, can Purifying Light crit and does the spec drop if we swap weapons?

Makes sense it's more for AoE. EZK is for longer fights, Lengs for more burst and AoE options, and Tumuken for AoE.

A new halberd is always appreciated. The best one was Nox, and that's from like a decade ago. Lani spear came later but that is weaker and has niche uses.

Edit to avoid doublepost: Apparently as part of whatever stream/wrap for the finale they released some Elidinis concept art:

WE WUZ MOON GODDESSES N SHIET.
I can see why the gate boss statue looks a bit like a fucking ogre; she's not north african, she's a big muscled negress.

It makes sense at least, especially if she's an ascended mortal from the hot desert, which was formerly a hot jungle. It's more justifiable than Saradomin''s wife's daughter.

Bloody hell

Only reason I remember this is 'cause it was released with Menaphos around the time I returned to the game:

Canonically she's (or was) a blueskin / Na'avi donned in a yellow robe or dress, not dissimilar to the statue in Nardah. Also, what the fuck is with ogre-fying her. Pretty sure I said it when the gate 'boss' released, that her face looks like a she-hulk tranny...

The artist behind the negrogre-ification of Elidinis was credited as the one who drew up the tranny shark plush:

He may or may not be a furry:

The elusive Body Type 3. Don't you know that there are ALTERNATIVE body styles than an Adonis male or a slim hourglass woman you bigot? It's literally the Sixth Age (age of chaos era).

Fagex is behind the times. Negrogres are so last decade. I thought Concord would've been the final nail in that coffin. I guess they took the literal mainstream media narrative that churning out a new hero shooter in an over-saturated market was the real reason Concord thoroughly flopped. Nothing to do with the character designs and every flavour of woke miasma surrounding the game.

I honestly think at this point the only way RuneScape could sink any lower is if it became infested with Jeets. Terrifying thought.

I unlocked the skeletal horror on my iron today and remembered that OSRS changed snigger across the game to snicker. English language bad bad bad.

Was playing old school runescape the other day, went decent till I joined this clan. Retarded :3's, "femboys", you name it, the whole nine yards. It was annoying to read the chat

Are clans really like this nowadays? Funny thing happened with that clan, someone typed "I cast dysphoria upon thee" (not me, unfortunately) and everyone in the chat started panicking and begging the op to stop triggering them.

Fucking hilarious to see troons losing it over the word "dysphoria"

My clan in rs3 is kinda "mushy" and I'm positive some of the ones with female avatars I've seen are trannies. They're all friendly but I don't think any flirt or other degen shit. I basically join a clan to have something vaguely social and of course to cap and get the buff at citadel and I suppose for group stuff if I ever get a feeling to do it.

Back after I left a dead clan (and the impetus for why I now basically only lurk certain public discords and have like my one IRL friend group server) I joined the server for a clan and it seemed like a nice group. And then there was a NSFW channel. They couldn't help themselves, and neither could I in peeking in and I saw one random bathroom photo of a phallus that was probably a clan members' and I immediately left.

Fucking gooners.

The clan I'm in is semi-active, there are a few regulars that get on and occasionally people will group up to do stuff together. There's occasionally chatting going on, most frequently during new updates, but there's no gooner talk and no trannies, thankfully. I think most people in there are on the older side, so that helps. Decent clans are still out there, but you may have to hop a few times to find one.
