There is no other thread about DragCon on this forum so I thought I'd post this here:

My personal DragCon LA 2019 Instagram cringe compilation:

Jordan Peterson's lobster

SJW cult goes to DragCon

I bet he made a lot of money that weekend

The one on the left...

What did I tell you about ContraPoints being far more likely to just trip down the stairs while drunk and die that way? Here you go

The one on the left, again...

No, just no

Basic creep look

Aggressive LGBT lawyer look

The one on the left, always, the one on the left

Dead bats in the middle of the pink carpet

The bats when they were still alive

LMAO, the one on the left of course

Assless pants for women were apparently a thing at Coachella this year. Keep them there.

The one on the left

At least he's honest enough to admit he's up his ass...

The one on the left

I don't know what the hell is going on here but this picture takes the prize

Just for the sake of fairness I will also include some looks I did like:

This one is my personal favourite this year, very creative:

This make-up look is actually well-executed, someone went as the Indian God Shiva:

People on this forum always ask whether I've dated ContraPoints, but Nyk is not my style.
This creature on the left is. I don't know what it is but it should pair up with my raging furry, we'd make a good matching pair.

More creative looks here:

I was forced to watch this with friends so you don't have to.
The show has had 10 full seasons, with drama between the drag queens being the main content provided by the show, a series of challenges are presented in which they must design costumes to fit a theme, the two worst then face off on stage in a lip sync battle. Later seasons of the show became much more [artificially perhaps] controversial due to the politics of the 2016 election coming into view, one notable example of this was The Vixen in season 10:

The Vixen frequently argued with other drag queens and attempted to play the race card:
  • "GO HAVE YOUR CIGARETTE BITCH BECAUSE IT'S DONE!" (during a fight with Eureka on Untucked)
  • "You brought it over here. I brought it back, and all of a sudden I'm a bitch." (to Aquaria on Untucked)
  • "You have created a narrative of I am an angry black woman who scared off the little white girl...what I'm saying is 'leave me alone.'" (to Aquaria during a dispute on Untucked)
At one point, the Vixen argued with the host, Rupaul and stormed out the building, the Vixen hates Drumpf very much, their is a treasure trove?? of stuff to be found online.
RuPaul himself is a interesting case of rags to riches, he was born in a somewhat impoverished enviroment and now lives a life as a millionaire, he was listed by time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Between RuPaul and the wider trans community lies a tension, he does his drag for show, the trans community takes it seriously.
Edit: I saw a lot of this stuff in a very short period of time, the impression I got as a outsider to the customs of drag queen culture, was that they tend to be very hysterical and mentally unstable individuals, imagine my shock. The other thing I suppose I found slightly off was just how superficial the whole thing was, I mean, perhaps thats the point, but it wasn't for me.

With the way desmond is amazing (Desmond Napoles) has been carried around as a icon, i feel like there's a really fucking dark underbelly of the drag queen community and i fucking guarantee RuPaul has some children skeletons in the closet

I recall seeing snippets of this shit while my best friend was in his last relationship, his gf loved watching these homosexuals throw temper tantrums, display the same level of maturity of ten years olds and generally argue over petty shit. Well at least that's the impression I got from the little I did watch anyway.

I can very much so see that being a thing as im sure true and honest trannies see drag queens as either fetishistic or trivialising who they are at the least. Which is pretty funny because cross dressing has been around far longer, as far back as 1600s, at least on record in England anyway. They were called molly houses where homosexual men would dress as women and have tea parties essentially, it was like a private club for socialising back then and highly illegal due to the buggery laws.

Speaking about skeletons in closet, one famous drag queen had a body stuff in a garment bag for years and only found out after the his death.
.

All I know is this, Virgin RuPaul < Chad Divine.

RuPaul pisses off troons by not taking gender roles too seriously. He has no problem with the words tranny and shemale and thinks troons take offence too easily and put too much importance on words and their policing of them. He also doesn't give a shit that they don't like drag and find it offensive.

He's also smart about money and his brand, though, so he generally softens how he words things now and sometimes capitulates to the troon caterwauling over minor issues to keep his LGBT+ audience happy. Troons being troons, they can't let it go, so he's still a monster to them - but he's also a gay black man who has been doing genderfuck and performative femininity longer than most of the people he's pissed off have been alive, let alone started living as women (yes, it's inevitably MtFs who hate him), so he has more experience than they do and isn't going to stop any time soon.

Pissing off troons as A-OK in my book. He'll never fully turn on them for being rabid howler monkeys in ill-fitting human suits, which is a shame, but he's one of the most prominent LGB people in the world and he comes as close as he can to acceptably telling them to shut the fuck up - certainly more than nearly any other queer person with influence. So I reckon he deserves credit for that.

You left out the incident when he mentioned that letting troons on his show is akin to The Miz taking steroids

I'm bringing this back from the dead. We NEED to discuss the Sherry Pie/Joey Gugliemelli/Allison Mossie scandal! TLDR; A current contestant has been disqualified for pretending to be a casting exec (Allison Mossie) and coercing erotic muscle building videos from multiple gay men (that included steroid use.) It's super fucked up and interesting. I think they need to cancel the show at this point.

Buzzfeed broke the story

NBC added more info
