Prigozhin's press service posted another pre-recorded message saying he managed to cross the border unmolested because the border guard welcomed his troops with open arms. This is a bit sus, because nobody took pictures of his APC column in the entirety of the 60 kilometers between said border and Rostov and we still do not know what Wagner is doing or even where it they are.

The thought of FSB greenlighting his little private army to topple Putin Ceausescu-style is top kek and, should it happen, will be the defining event for Russia in the XXI century.

There is supposed to be a massive column of Wagner forces entering Rostov right now to depose the MoD then return to the front line in Ukraine. Zero evidence so far.

Anyway, the Russian Ministry of Defense is reporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine are amassing troops in the Bakhmut direction "to take advantage of Prigozhin's provocation". This leaves us with 4 possible secnarios.

1. The AFU fell for 6D underwater chess maneuver hook, line and sinker.
2. The AFU are actually taking advantage of the insurgency.
3. Prigozhin and the AFU have teamed up after a round of earlier negotiations.
4. The Russian Ministry of Defense is trying to discredit Prigozhin further and the AFU is not actually doing anything.

I only very passively watch the war so I only hear about Wagner when its leader is super pissed off and demanding ammunition.

I do not believe the war has proceeded according to plan and that public opinion is very dour. A lot of Russians, apathetic towards global politics, just wish things returned to how they were before.

The very concept of a gang of criminals being conscripted to fight for a major power is very strange to me. I was kind of surprised that they were held in such high regard for as long as he was, until he started badmouthing the MOD publicly. Mercenaries are historically extremely unpredictable. They tend to loot when they're not paid.

Also, the Soviet Union collapsed magically overnight. Nobody saw it coming. The US Intel community was shocked. There was some sort of attempted coup, then people just woke up on Christmas Day and the USSR no longer existed. I see no reason that cannot happen again. Nothing makes Putin better than Gorbachev.

I honestly don't know what's going on. Wagner seems full of extremely competent, ex-special forces people. You had problems with them and the MoD being as theater before, but I'm not sure. This could be Putin's way of obliterating seditious elements in the MoD (have Wagner become the MoD) or its an actual coup to depose Putin.

Or maybe they are just heading to Kharkov via Russian roads and this is all kayfabe to hide their movements.
I guess we will find out soon enough.
 
So there's a couple of things in my opinion.

1. Putin is done with his MoD and has employed Wagner to literally clean house
2. This is a 6D Chess move to cloak Wagner's movements in a supposed 'coup' when it is trying to reposition them without alerting NATO or the West to where they're actually going
3. This is a real coup by elements of the military and Wagner
4. This is to sow confusion to prevent a false flag on the power plant
5. Zelensky paid Wagner a couple of billion to march on Moscow

This is really fucking crazy

Given how quickly information like this is coming out of Russia and considering there are almost no primary sources, the whole situation seems really sus.
