So was there a point when mild-mannered Wiki editor Lyurong lost his shit and turned into Double Dlagon?

I'm just amazed by his social capital considering the fact that he's obviously completely insane to anyone looking at the RW situation from outside, but is nevertheless immune from having to obey any rules or even act semi-human instead of constantly chimping.

Was there some period of time where he just made good edits, or at least good by RW standards, that let him accumulate this social capital?

No. He was always this way. The only difference was the subject. For years he was allowed to go nuts on articles no one but the biggest weebs (Hi.) gave a shit about.

And then, Gamergate.

All of Double Dragon's wiki-hosts had no problem with his behavior as long as he was chimping at people they didn't care about-- Power Ranger weeaboos, Gamergaters, etc. The constant thing with the Dlagon is that he either can't tell who he shouldn't chimp at or can't restrain himself from chimping. I think it's the latter.

It's like the scorpion and the frog. It's just in his nature.

I suspect a more apt comparison is that Ryulong is basically a textbook loose canon - the best and really only way to effectively utilize him is to basically kiss his ass 24/7 while somehow pushing him to have a firm belief in their side - in this case anti-GG/Pedo Defense Force - and then let him run hog wild in doing what he does best, all the while they have to actively support his actions or else he'll constantly come up short. Case in point: it is obvious by now how much Gerrard and other Ryu supporters are your standard GG hate squad and Ryu to them is, effectively, the robot making sure that the narrative that GG is evil continues to be enforced. Likewise, they're literally the only reasons Ryu's not banned again on RW despite having been unblocked for literally the dumbest fucking reasoning I've ever seen.

Adam's the outlier, since he is Ryulong II and I can not for the life of me figure out why he's taking the path of that psychopath DlagonDlagon.

Regardless, the inevitable outcome is that sooner or later, Ryulong's use to them will end and they'll kick him off RW for good anyway. He only has friends mainly because they're using his autism for their own ends (and Adam somehow because I can only guess similar obsessions on wikis and something involving Japanese culture connections)

In a way, he's kind of a victim here himself. It's pretty pathetic that his only "friends" are creeps using him for no reason other than his Autistic Tard Rage Hulk powers.

What a loser. Guy acted like a tough guy, got doxxed (with information he stupidly left out publicly to be used against him), turned into a mewling manbaby who has to run from a confrontation, and is running like a little bitch like the weeaboo and furfaggot.

These guys are living proof bullies are inherently cowards.

It's just his Kool-Aid drinking, buddyloid relationship with Gerard, and his hatred of Gamergate as far as I can tell.

Cohen seems to have been loved by the anti-Gamergate crowd due to his involvement in the Gamergate Wikipedia battles. It's easy to see how hating on Gamergate would become Cohen's life for over a year, he was living it up: lots of posts on the anti-GG subreddit, he hung out in their IRC, if they needed something done on Wikipedia they looked to him, he started gaining people willing to talk to him, and he even would go into the 'gator' subreddits and try to mock them (a far cry from the Cohen of today that is reduced to a quivering blob when confronted by a detractor). Bear in mind that the DlagonDlagon had just been vanquished in Japan (edit: fixed link), scholarship fucked over by the Japanese government according to him.

In addition to his general spergery over Gamergate (with over a year since he last edited, Cohen still accounts for 10.8% (565) of all edits to the Gamergate controvery article and 4.7% (1,151) of all edits to the talk page despite only being active on those pages from September 15th to November 12th, 2014), Cohen got involved in some stupid shit in November that led to his banishment from Wikipedia during the Gamergate arbitration case: getting in a fight with David Auerbach, hosting an AMA and getting told by Jimmy Wales himself that he needs to sod off from the article (a GamerGhazi moderator had to help convince him to stop), and having his anti-GG fans promote a fundraiser for him which drew concerns over paid editing.

With everything blowing up at Wikipedia and at the invitation of David Gerard (or whoever was in charge of the RW twitter), Ryulong scampered his way to RationalWiki in December 2014: http://rationalwiki.org/w/index.php...lter=&contribs=user&target=Ryulong&namespace=

Checking on some of these early diffs, it seems Cohen started off fairly normal, eager to fit in. Engaging on the talk page to supply links, sucking up to David Gerard. Gerard said, "Bastards had it coming." and gave him sysop after Cohen asked, because Cohen needed sysop to edit the Gamergate pages because Gerard had protected them (Gerard claimed it was due to someone linking CP there).

Cohen went full DlagonDlagon days later when he began chimping out over a foe of his (CensoredScribe) from Wikipedia having sysop and Cohen was soon the subject of the first of many Chicken coops. He had sysop for four days and had already done enough abuse to be cooped alongside his foe.

It was all downhill from there, Cohen would be site banned from Wikipedia near the end of January and started really obsessively editing about Gamergate at RW.

On one hand, I'm really curious to see if Ryulong is pathetic enough to continue his typical editing habits on Christmas day, on the other hand that would involve me monitoring a complete sperg on Christmas day
